the way Bo steps into a chair and holds his beer bottles IS Bo.  I don’t want him to change those characteristics.    And I have seen several actors in movies ‘copy’ Bo’s moves…. which go way, way, way back in time!!

saying Hope deserved the infidelity because she didn’t remain the ‘constant wife’.  IMO, Hope should have stayed at home to let time heal the problems in her head.  Running away is always wrong, considering Bo was hardly a danger to either wife or daughter.  On the other hand, it was Bo’s decision to ‘get into Carly’ in more ways than one…  he walked away from the marriage himself.   So Bo & Hope can both be blamed for the destruction.   Carly is an opportunist, like a school girl crush… but Bo made it easy for her to fantasize and realize!

deliberately.   They just told her about her script for a two-week period, it was after the 2-weeks that she started carrying a purse with mementos in it!   *^%$@)       I’ll still hold out hope that Carly & Bo won’t become a couple!

that the ‘friendly’ (vs industrial) pier is just 200 yards outside the Java Cafe.  Yep, everything is just a blink away.

‘announcements’ (which seem to be like Swiss cheese — full of holes), I tend to think he’s referring to a 2-week period wherein the funeral and attendees will ‘feel like a lot of Horton’s’.   We seem to be of the same belief, that Will’s character change could present a Horton as he , yet again, claims to be unhappy with his mom.

for the ‘long lost daughter’ being Melanie — that it will play right into the feud going on inside the Kiriakis mansion; that Melanie will suddenly become rich from inheritance and maybe put her back behind a desk again.   But, my money is on Mia being the ‘long lost daughter’ as she’s the one in need of maternal support.   Who knows, maybe when Justin’s divorce is finalized, one of his sons will come to Salem and become a romance partner for Mia (since it is assumed that Justin & Carly will be partnered up).

his faith to marry Margo.    It is correct that DOOL has only one church setting to use, so it appears as if they’re all under the same faith.  However, when was the last time the church was used for Sunday services?  Caroline is the only character I can think of who is attending regularly.

DOOL has always utilized diversity less than other soaps, but I’m absolutely OK with that.  IMO they do not misrepresent other faiths or other cultures when written into the storyline.

For me the worst story line was way back when, Lee appeared as Doug’s ex-wife just as Julie & Doug were to be wed.  That was such a heartbreak for me — I was sooooo mad at the writers!   Another story line that I absolutely hated was the introduction of Kimberly being raped by her uncle which dug up a new personality that spoiled all that was going good in her life.

Hands down… garden of eden was off the wall! Yep, the twinners landing on earth was way out there too!  But I have to add the story line where Marlena’s old college romance returned to Salem to stalk her.  That was such a travesty to use Wayne Northrop that way!

I tend (call this wishful thinkging) to believe that Bo & Hope will work at their relationship, but the efforts won’t necessarily be seen on screen.  Justin with Carly… hmmmmm.  Seems as if a divorce will be easy on Justin’s part (as Adrienne isn’t interested in knowing what Justin is up to back in Salem); but then Carly still has the stabbing hanging over her head.  You’re thinking that Vivian’s re-set of the facts (someone else took the fall) means that Carly really is ‘free’ of the dastardly deed?   Bo and Justin both know she is, in deed, guilty and both guys will totally overlook her confession?  Does Justin forget his oath to uphold the law; oh, wait…. that’s Bo’s job (but not applicable because said dastardly deed was done outside of the country)?

of the clean shaven face, or the length of hair & beard?  I grew to love Bo with the hair on the face, but the 1st time he appeard clean shaven, I was adoring the visible lips and smooth cheeks!  Sadly, over the years those clean scenes have been too few.

as a result of her being the only survivor of the collision between a big rig and her pa’s pickup… she lost both her parents that day.  Maggie was keeping their family farm going with the help of hired hands — enter Marty Hansen (Mickey Horton) who learned how to do chores from Hank.

You’ve been a solid core for us DOOL watchers over the years, and this current effort is much appreciated.

was broken hearted that Susan was interferring in her romance with David.  When Alice was dishing out advice to her kids.  Bill was interested in Laura, the new psychiatrist at the hospital. [Late 1966]

Being a stay-at-home mom, over the years I watched so many actors switch from one soap to another.   John Aniston (Search for Tomorrow) was one of my favorite actors.  I hated it when Denise Alexander (Susie) went to GH, when Susan Flannery (Laura) left for another soap, when Patty Weaver (Trish) left to sing on Y&R.  I hated how Tommy & Sandy Horton were scripted out of the show.   I always hated the character of Alex Marshall … never could cotton to the like of that devious fellow.  Loved Liz Chandler & Neil Curtis and Doug & Julie.

as far as the storytelling goes…. so therefore who would I like to NOT see in the future….  Dr. Dan (he’s being underused at the moment) even though he’s pivotal to the hospital & Kiriakis family.  I’d like to hope that a moving story comes along that provides better performances.  Chloe’s character is way underused (no singing, no Lucas, Nicole in jail, no wedding plans, no pregnancy, no illness !!).

But the character who could go, no ifs ands or butts, would be the Jan Spears wannabe…. Kinsey.  Really liking the "T" character but I’d rather he not ‘hang’ with Kinsey (Ms Snotty…(as I call her) .
