Is this trend supposed to ‘feel right’ with the current economic hard times? Is that why we don’t see people dining out, only eating at the pub or snacking at the coffee house?
Hope mentioned staying at Doug & Julie’s house — she didn’t actually stay there, but that implies they have a place that’s not Alice’s. Wonder if we’ll see that ‘place’ with their upcoming appearances. I get giddy when D&J are on.
I get the same feeling; like the writers couldn’t make up their mind which girl it should be. Yesterday’s scenes w/Melanie were definitely the old cliche where the relationship automatically starts of with negativity. But I can see Carly having a motherly relationship with Mia as time goes by. I wonder if Mia will be working at the hospital soon, due to Carly’s encouragement.
So many people resided in that loft over the years, then they had the place right across the roof where Shawn D lived. Maybe that sliding door wore out!
I remember seeing more of the inside of Maggie’s house in the past, but now we only get the kitchen where everyone and anyone can just ‘come right in’. At Alice’s place we went from front porch to living, kitchen, and upstairs bedroom. It felt like a real house w/real people living there.

Not that it hasn’t been done B4, but I was thinking the same thing. The mystery is where will Sami & EJ be when the reveal is made. It’s too sad that Faye is being used — she & Nichole will never have an honest relationship. I noticed Taylor’s name was mentioned, so will she be the sister who questions Nichole’s out-of-the-blue contact w/Mom? Hmmm
Don’t shoot me, but I liked the dating of Chelsea and Dr. Dan. Maybe because those were the 1st romance acting scenes we saw for Dr. Dan (and we experienced Chelsea’s maturing). It was disgusting,though, to think of Dan & Kate’s (but what’s new there?) May/December thingy but now we’ve got the Dr. doing the deed with another older lady? Gosh… Dan dated Bo’s daughter, and now he dated Bo’s ex? That’s a generation gap that’s too much to swallow. In my thinking pattern, Dr. Dan and Carly’s son, Nicholas, should be palling around together.
I’m sure kpatch could replace at least 4 writers and give us a good story line to use the characters properly!
I never felt from the screen acting that Brady really loved Nichole — not love like I’d like to live w/U forever. To me they were only friends from long ago, so I see this recent proclamation of Brady’s love for Nichole to be plot-driven. The writers are always messin’ with true love — for the ratings? Myself… I’d really enjoy seeing a true love paring (like Doug & Julie had). Maybe, because I’m married to my high school sweetheart (42 years) and believe that relationships CAN last!
But alas, I’m still a dedicated soap watcher. You can only ‘feel’ the love by watching Chick Flicks! Darn
Alice is our grandmother — to those of us who are long time watchers. I’m sure we’ll be seeing a collage of clips that are definitely hanky worthy. A simple kleenex won’t do. Loved Alice & Tom for the people they were as characters and Frances & Macdonald as the people they were in their personal character. Life moves too fast!
Personally, I think it would be too sad to know that Frances suffers from an ailment that stole her spunk!!
I thought it was terribly cruel of Nichole to say to Mia that it was Sami’s fault that Grace died. I know Nichole was desperately trying to further manipulate Mia, but when she said that I was upset that Mia, due to her youth, would believe that Sami really could have been negligent (responsible) for the baby’s death. In retrospect, I’d think Mia could recall, at the time of Grace’s passing, that everyone said it was not Will’s Mom’s fault … which probably happened, because Mia didn’t fall for Nichole’s ‘bull’. These two characters have a lot of self pity going on. At least Mia can visit the grave site for closure.
Nichole is desperate, being behing bars. Her maternal instinct is to escape and get her child back, thus Brady enters the scene. What I’m interested to see is the long-lost reunion of Mother & Daughter that’s coming. How can Faye have any influence over Nichole at this stage? Emotionally, it’s nice to think that Mom will come to her daughter’s rescue, even though they’re not on speaking terms. But?? Is Abe the one who contacts Faye? What do the writers have up their sleeve?
Victor made Faye blush, way back when. Will Victor become the flirting playboy with Vivian & Faye to get Caroline’s attention? I am looking forward to more ‘vet’ storylines!
