I really don’t like Melonie and Philip together, but my opinion aside, I am wondering if it is Melonie who is Carly’s long lost daughter, and the pairing of Melonie and Philip is just to add to the drama when Vivian and Victor find out. Vivian keeps saying how she is going to hurt Carly’s child, and when she finds out that it is Melonie, is she willing to hurt Philip in the process and cross Victor? This is truly just me wondering, I am just speculating, and curious about what other people are thinking.
What else was the reason to have CArly and Vivian come back?
They brought Melanie on to be Max’s sister. Turns out that s/l was for nothing. Guess they think this will make Vivians and Carlys returns interesting. Guess they assumed wrong.
Great point Blondie! I never thought of that. Maybe that is part of the reason the are rushing Philip and Melanie together.
for the ‘long lost daughter’ being Melanie — that it will play right into the feud going on inside the Kiriakis mansion; that Melanie will suddenly become rich from inheritance and maybe put her back behind a desk again. But, my money is on Mia being the ‘long lost daughter’ as she’s the one in need of maternal support. Who knows, maybe when Justin’s divorce is finalized, one of his sons will come to Salem and become a romance partner for Mia (since it is assumed that Justin & Carly will be partnered up).
