I miss when everyone had their own home. I loved Marlena and Roman’s house and Jack and Jennifer’s place, the loft etc. Nowadays everyone is either at the Pub, the Cheatin’ Heart or in the Dimera’s foyer. I used to like to see all the different ways people decorated. It’s all so bland and boring now. Budget cuts I guess, fewer sets, less money blah blah blah.
I miss the loft! I think Nathan should move in there or at least someone. I also miss Dot.com and the Salem Place set! That was so much in the 90s-early 2000s.
When Bo and Hope moved to Mockingbird Lane – wasn’t that Jack and Jen’s old house all jazzed up? It sure looked like it…maybe they were having budget cuts wayyyyyyyyyyyy back then too!
I have seen them reuse stuff from set to set. I think Bo and Hope’s house was Jen’s at some point. They recently added some red wallpaper to Bo and Hope’s place and the other day when Vivian came to see Carly there she commented on the "awful taste". I liked Sami and Lucas’s apartment until Daniel moved in and made it a man cave.
So many people resided in that loft over the years, then they had the place right across the roof where Shawn D lived. Maybe that sliding door wore out!
I remember seeing more of the inside of Maggie’s house in the past, but now we only get the kitchen where everyone and anyone can just ‘come right in’. At Alice’s place we went from front porch to living, kitchen, and upstairs bedroom. It felt like a real house w/real people living there.

Speaking of homes…I wonder where Lucas is going to live now that he’s back in town I don’t think Daniel and Chloe will want to give him apartment back.
Remember Bonbon, Lucas built Chloe a new house, so thats where he’ll live. Nathan moved in there, remember when Lucas called him and told him he can go ahead and move in becuase he didnt want to come home to an empty house.
They still use the Dot.com set, only now it is Java Cafe.
Java Cafe used to be outdoors, in Salem Place, but then they took down the Salem Place area (Ballistix, the movie theatre, Johnny’s Burgers, Java Cafe – I was there, lolol). So they just changed the sign over Dot.com and took out all the computers.
Didn’t Lucas tell Nathan to move into his apartment? I think Chloe is living in Daniel’s apartment but I don’t think that was ever Lucas’s…I think Stephanie is living in her parents’ apartment which had been EJ’s, right? There are only about 3 apartments in Salem and people are always switching around. I think it’s funny that Caroline is now housing half of Salem! Rafe and Sami are living in Marlena’s apartment, right? I assume she and John are paying the mortgage since Sami has no income.
