I think Casey Deidrick (sp?) is a terrific young actor, and given the right material I think he could really show just how good he is.  The rest of the younger actors come across as ‘forcing’ their material, a little bit boring, and definitely lack the ability of keeping my attention on what they are doing or saying at the time.  They almost look comical to me (Will, Mia, Kinsey).  Casey (Chad), however, seems far more polished and I hope to see him given the opportunity to really shine.

but Belle would be a perfect return for Phillip, since another recast for Shawn would be hard to take, I’m sure these writers could find an easy way to write Shawn D. out (but not kill him).  Also I would love to see Nick return.  I always thought he was the perfect match for Melanie.

although John and Marlena would always be No. 1.  Also, I very much miss Tony DiMera.  The two I couldn’t care less if I ever saw again would be Max and Chelsea Brady.

and even though most believe E.J. is behind the whole plot, which, I might add, so do I, it just occurred to me that I wouldn’t count Kate out completely.  That look she gave Stefano when she left him yesterday, knowing how upset he was, then saying something like: "I have to go make some phone calls…"  just got me to thinking.  Also, I would absolutely love for it to be Tony DiMera, even though we were led to believe he is dead.  Remember the cigar smoking Tony (Tony never smoked).  Maybe it was Andre who died and Tony is still alive, plotting with his darling Anna against Stefano.  But, then again, I don’t think they would hurt Sami like that.  They actually liked the Bradys.  By the way, pure speculation here; nothing read, heard or spoiled otherwise to indicate Thaao on his way back to Salem (but wouldn’t you just love it).

with a young "colleague".  Dan was pure speculation as far as being the father of her child, but I have to admit, I would love it if he were.  However, there sure were other doctors it could be as well.  I just think that putting the spotlight on Dan and Carly this early is going to reveal something about them other than their just being friends.

and, ironically, her name is Isabella.  She was born by C-section, and Ari and baby are doing just fine.  There’s a short article posted on Examiner.com.  Anyway, heartfelt congrats to Ari and Kyle.

thing I questioning is who else knows?  Is she doing this on her own, or is she at the other end of the line on these very questionable calls E.J. has been making and/or receiving?  I’m wondering if he’s in on it now.  I’m hoping he’s not.  I really want to see him get far away from the "true" DiMera ways.  It’s okay to be a little bad, but one Stefano DiMera is quite enough, thank you.

is that the next time we see Nicole, her hair is back to being blonde, because that jet black hair looks positively awful on Ari.

that Chad was Bo and Carly’s son?  I do, so I’m just taking this as the writers laughing up their sleeve, seriously thinking they have finally stumped us.  That being said, I was always suspicious of Melanie not being Trent’s daughter.  Her last name was revealed as "Layton," and if ever two people didn’t look anything alike, it was Melanie and Trent.  As for Bo and Carly, IMO Bo is being the ridiculous one now.  Carly keeps trying to leave, and Bo keeps giving her every reason not to.  She insisted on getting a room at the Inn, and I believe her when she claims that the last thing she wants to do is to come between Bo and Hope, their marriage and their family life together.  In the meantime, Bo is now the one trying to seriously flush his marriage down the toilet, and he’s doing a damn good job of it.  I don’t think there is any ulterior motive with Carly other than wanting to find her daughter, but this fear of Vivian taking over Lawrence’s plot to kill the child is what is nerve-wracking to me.  Why not just pull Vivian up and put the fear of God into her.  The woman is twice your age, Carly.  You didn’t have any trouble knifing Lawrence when he threatened your child; what’s so damn scary to you about Vivian?  If it’s Victor, Bo will handle that end of it, so step back and look at the big picture here.  Lawrence made you give your child away in the first place, and we all know where he supposedly wound up (although I believe he’s alive).  As for what she looks like or what her name is, maybe Carly never even had the opportunity to even hold her child before Lawrence gave or sold her to, in my guess, Trent.  Both Bo and Hope are the ones acting like children here, not Carly and Justin.  I, too, think that maybe they will try putting these two together eventually, and I’m okay with that; but, in the meantime, Bo and Hope are the ones I find completely frustrating in this storyline.  This yearly on again/off again marriage of theirs is pathetic.  I’m sure the writers could do better for these vets other than the same old b/s!

especially when he seems to be genuinely in puppy-love with Mia.  I know there was a rumor way back when the first Will was here, before Dylan, but that never panned out either.  Hope they’re not being pressured by some activist groupies to roll with a gay storyline, although it seems like just about every other soap has one right now.

we miss you terribly on our beloved DOOL.  The hanging of the ornaments on the Horton tree are just not the same without you.  I hope you are well and know how much you are loved and missed.

I didn’t count on.  Here in Maryland, Y&R has always been on ABC, and runs from 12:30-1:30p.m.; and B&B follows right behind it from 1:30-2:00 p.m. (which, by the way, I can’t believe it’s still only a 1/2 hour).  Days, which is on NBC, is shown from 1:00-2:00 p.m.  As a matter of fact, since I am a Y&R watcher, I watch from 12:30 – 1:00, then switch to DOOL.  Of course, all of the soaps I watch are on SoapNet, with DOOL now starting at 6:00 p.m., followed by Y&R at 7:00 p.m., then AMC at 8:00 p.m., then OLTL at 9:00 p.m., and GH at 10:00, so it’s easy to catch up on any shows you miss, if you watch more than one soap, as I do.  Of course, if there’s something I prefer to watch in prime-time, like last night’s Biggest Loser finale, then, of course, there’s always the good ole’ DVR, which I find the best TV tool ever invented.

are the lowest rated.  Guiding Light was dead last for a very long time, and As The World Turns has seen poor ratings for longer than anyone cares to admit.  With DOOL being the only soap left on NBC, and ratings beginning to soar in the right direction, and a couple of other soaps being downsized, or even moved out of their original home of many years (AMC moving to L.A. in January), I’m thinking that DOOL is in pretty good shape.  There will ALWAYS be soap fans, and the ones on top are not about to shoot themselves in the foot by canceling their soap and losing literally hundreds of thousands of viewers.  JMHO.

with the Salem P.D.  I got the message that Roman was impressed with Rafe’s actions in tracking down Sydney so far, and in figuring out what in the hell was in Nicole’s head all along.  I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if after this is over, Rafe winds up a detective in the Salem P.D.  Watch out, Bo.  I always got the impression Hope had a little sweet tooth where Rafe was concerned anyway. (LOL).  As for Vivian, I’m quite sure she and Victor will be plotting against Carly, and Victor, with seemingly unlimited funds, will be happy to front Vivian.  Can’t wait til’ she moves into the Kiriakis mansion.  If that doesn’t torment the living hell out of Kate, nothing will.  Sami may want to work, but with soon to be three babies, I think that would be a little unrealistic.  Besides, if she doesn’t have to, why should she.  Stay home and raise your children, Samantha.  As for Hearth and Home, that was the joke, or maybe "dummy," corporation of the decade as far as I’m concerned.
