Isn’t it time to put some of these characters to work? What is Arianna doing for income now that she quite the pub? And what is Rafe living on? His good looks? (Well, yeah he could probably do thats they’re going to school? I realize there board and room is free but they certainly have other expenses. I would hope that the "Horton Boarders" would contribute something to their keep.
Is Chloe living entirely off from Dan? And now that Lucas is back, where is he going to live and on what? Yeah, I know, they wouldn’t have enough time for a storyline for them if all these characters decided to get a job.

I’ve said that for years! Everyone in Salem is living off someone else either on a trust fund or generosity. Hope – has a seemingly endless trust fund. How is Lucas going to pay for that great big house he had built for Chole and his daughter? Brady – living off the Tuscano/Victor (can’t spell Kiriakis) empire, as does Phillip (he may have a job but he’s never in his office anymore and when he was he was usually chasing someone around the desk). Sami is living off the Black foundation – what was the last job she had? Now Melanie was living off European men, guess the money hasn’t run out since she has a nice wardrobe and can afford nursing school – (wasn’t Carley rich before becoming a doctor). Mia – is living off Maggie. Where is Maggie getting her money – (if like the spoilers said about Mickey). Kate was a waitress in the "poor" working section of town before she married Victor’s money and became an fashion mogel and then married even richer. Then there’s Nicole – porn queen (I guess business was good), then she followed in Kate’s footsteps and married well. Even Vivy – remember how poor she was? Viv and Ivan had to win 1.6 million (if memory serves) to make it out of the "crummy" little two room apartment before they left.
Brady works for Victor – he doesn’t just live off of Victor.
Maggie owns that place which where her money comes from, plus Mickey is a lawyer
Mia works at Java Cafe
Melanie works at the hospital and she probably has grants and stuff for nursing school
Phillip was working for Victor, but has since quit and has been looking for other jobs
Lucas was working for someone before he left, I forgot who though, he would probably still work that job
when Brady agreed to help her with finding out who was behind the drug dealing, she agreed to go back to the Pub. So last I knew she was still working there.
As to Rafe, I am still speculating (absolutely no proof here), that he is still working for the FBI or another agency but undercover. He did have a construction job at one point so maybe now that he’s recovered from the abuse of Meredith, he’s back to work?
Lucas- who knows, I think he worked for his mommydearest at one point but now, I have no clue.
Sami said she was living off the money that John gave her when he left.
A lot of them may have jobs – but they never go to them !!! I wish I had a job that I never had to show up for but still got paid !
I know where there’s a job for Rafe. With Ciara’s kidnapper off to jail and Hope leaving her job, the Salem PD has job openings. Sami has never been successful at holding a job for any length of time. She’s destined to live off others generosity. It’s a shame huh?
Who knows how Hearth & Home is doing?; if Lucas can just pick up where he left off? Since he disowned his mother, I don’t expect she’s been making his house payments, but taking in Nathan as a boarder must have been the solution. Kate has Stephano’s money as well as her own business. We’ve yet to learn what sustains Vivian & her ‘help’.
Hope & Justin could conceivable work at Mickey’s firm; or go into the PI business together. Carly will be drawing a paycheck off Salem University Hospital.
Does anyone see Carly and Justin hooking up?
with the Salem P.D. I got the message that Roman was impressed with Rafe’s actions in tracking down Sydney so far, and in figuring out what in the hell was in Nicole’s head all along. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if after this is over, Rafe winds up a detective in the Salem P.D. Watch out, Bo. I always got the impression Hope had a little sweet tooth where Rafe was concerned anyway. (LOL). As for Vivian, I’m quite sure she and Victor will be plotting against Carly, and Victor, with seemingly unlimited funds, will be happy to front Vivian. Can’t wait til’ she moves into the Kiriakis mansion. If that doesn’t torment the living hell out of Kate, nothing will. Sami may want to work, but with soon to be three babies, I think that would be a little unrealistic. Besides, if she doesn’t have to, why should she. Stay home and raise your children, Samantha. As for Hearth and Home, that was the joke, or maybe "dummy," corporation of the decade as far as I’m concerned.
She will get child support from EJ for two kids and Lucas for one kid. That alone would help. Then she will have Rafe who will most likely end up as a police officer, so he will be helping out with the bills. In addition to that she has John’s money and you know she is not paying rent or anything else for living at her mother’s place. Ironically the place looks very similar to the place Steve & Kayla lived – lol
But yes, I see no reason for Sami to work, there is no way she could make as much as it would cost for daycare for those three kids. She doesn’t have a skill set that would give her enough money!!!
