E.J. knows that Nicole was always paranoid about someone coming in through those doors and snatching up Sydney, there are no guards on the premises any longer, and Stefano has been busted, so to speak, and must now admit that he knows that Sydney is his biological granddaughter; HOWEVER, he (E.J.) allows Sydney to remain asleep in her playpen, and takes Sami out of the room for further discussions.  Then, ‘waddayaknow’ Nicole is there, looking through the same windows, acting out the same kidnapping plan she was so gravely afraid of happening to her.  Beats the hell out of me why they even had to go there.  It would have been a much more interesting storyline for me if they had simply continued the drama between Sami, Rafe amd E.J., as well as between E.J. and Stefano, and left the baby thief, Nicole, in jail.  Now, and most unfortunately for me, we’ll have to watch them chase Nicole and Sydney up and down and all around, while she changes her appearance, plays ‘hide the baby,’ and makes up even more lies, but now to her family.  I’m sorry, and I do love Ari Z., but Nicole Walker continues to be a royal pain in my a$$.

I remember reading that they were not going to bring Ivan back; that this "Gus" was her new go-to boy.  I tend to agree that she will have her plate full when she teams up with Victor and they lock horns with Kate and Stefano.  Can’t wait til’ tomorrow, when Kate sees Vivian is back.

He’s in love with Nicole; no, he’s in love with Ariana; no he’s back in love with Nicole…it’s just making him look like a clueless idiot.  And, no, I don’t believe he will stand by Nicole once he finds out what she did, especially since he now realizes that he helped her to conceal the fact that she stole his sister’s baby, and now, consequently, due to his blind faith in her, will have to own up to being the one reason she will be able to kidnap Sydney.  Way to go, Brady.  Take those damn goody-two-shoes off and throw them in the Salem River.

I thought the same thing about Nicole’s brazen action yesterday.  Did she honestly think she could just walk into Sami’s place and take Sydney.  She has to be on the verge of insanity if she did, especially knowing what Sami would do to her, plus she knew that Rafe was inside as well.  The woman is definitely on her way off the deep end.  She’ll probably will wind up using the insanity plea as her defense.  I just hope it doesn’t work.  This business of another kidnapping has me ticked off.  How many repetitious plots can the writers expect to throw at us?  Something new, please!  As for E.J., I guess we shouldn’t be surprised that he will insist on having custody of Sydney.  He’s blinded by what he perceives to be deception, even though he knows full well that the argument Sami has always had for wanting her children out of the DiMera mansion has been because of Stefano.  I don’t know how far they’re going to take this dark side of E.J., but maybe if he stands by his decision to denounce his father and moves out, him and Sami can co-parent their children without all the drama of custody battles.  My concern is that he is going to try his best to break Sami and Rafe up, and that I could not accept.  Stay smarter than him Sami.  You are right where you should be now.

Great idea bout the ‘Spoiler’ topic being separate from other headings.  I know I’ve put my foot in my mouth more than once by posting something someone didn’t want to hear, and I’ve read lots of posts that included spoilers, but were not marked.  Most of the boards I read have separate headings for spoilers, so if that could be something we could have here, I know would welcome it.  Personally, I like spoilers and go to certain boards specifically to read them, but I know a lot of people do not.

SW, something in your post hit home with me.  I’ve been reading across the message boards everyone’s opinions on Ari Z’s performance throughout this storyline, and I couldn’t agree more; she has been superb.  However, that being said, Ali Sweeney has really brought it for me as well.  When Grace died, Ali’s performance moved me to tears more than once.  Her performance has been just as good, to me anyway, as Ari’s.  I can’t imagine how hard it must have been for those two magnificent actresses to put so much realism into their acting, with one just giving birth to a little girl not so long ago (Ali) and the other with a baby girl due in a very short time.  I also thought James Scott did an awesome job with the storyline, even though it appears he is going to be returning to his ‘dark’ side.  I thought his acting was terrific.  All three of these actors’ performances were Emmy-worthy, and I will be very surprised if they are not right in there at next year’s show.

Too soon for me to judge; however, I can say it was a bad lead-in for her character to just show up, claiming their mother sent her to find her adult brother and sister.  Messy writing, IMO.  I also thought Rafe was raised in the orphanage.  That’s why I couldn’t wrap myself around the story of him and Ariana being so close in their relationship.  But, the idea of him being put on the right path by the good Sisters of the Holy Cross makes much more sense.  Maybe the mom and dad were really bad parents and the kids ran away.  Maybe that’s what’s happening here with Gabi.  Guess we’ll have to wait to find out, but to just accept that the mother would send a 16 year old to seek out the whereabouts of her older, adult siblings is not believable to me.

It’s no secret to my Annex friends that I DO NOT care for Stefanie, even a little bit, although I do think she looks best with Philip.  She needs a complete overhaul for my money.  This cat and mouse game she’s playing with Melanie is putting her further and further into my dislike column.  She’s determined to take Nathan away from Melanie, but I’m hoping Nathan will see through her scheme.  Even though it’s obvious that Mel still has hidden feelings for Philip, it looks like she’s trying to get him out of her system, and realizes that she’s better off with Nathan, but I’m sure Stephanie will do everything in her power to break them up.  Philip needs to find someone closer to his own age and stay away from Mel, but I don’t see that happening either.

Hope I’m in the right spot to reply to this post.  My thoughts are that it is Melanie and not Mia.  But, here’s my speculation:  Somewhere I remember hearing or possibly reading that Carly was at some medical convention in Europe when she had an affair.  The child she is seeking is hers and whoever she had the affair with, and Lawrence knows that and tried to keep her from the child.  When he discovered she was looking for her child, their marriage went south; soooooo, my thoughts are maybe, just maybe, (and think about this) Carly, medical convention, Europe, affair, child shows up in Salem.   I know, I’m all over the place here; but, I think Melanie is Carly’s daughter with….are you ready…..Dr. Daniel Jonas.  Didn’t Victor send for him when Bo and Chelsea had the famous pancreatic transplant; and did he live in Europe?  Lots to digest here, and, admittedly, I can’t figure out how Trent got into Melanie’s life, since she goes by Layton.  Confused more than ever now???  Me, too, but I think Carly’s kid is Melanie, and maybe, just maybe, her father is Daniel.

I’m Patti from the Annex Board.  Glad to be here, and Bonbon, glad to see you back on board.  Like you, I’m feeling my way through the new forum, and can’t wait to get into some great discussions.  This past week’s shows were the most exciting I’ve seen in a long, long time, and it will be terrific to once again start chatting with my friends, old and new, on what’s happening in Salem.  Thanks again, Jenn.  You and the new board are absolutely marvelous.

Jenn, I’m still a bit confused, but hopefully I’ll get used to the new format quickly.  Just wanted to add my thanks to your continued willingness to please us.  I have missed my dear friends and chats dearly.  Now I know what it must be like to go through withdrawal. (LOL).
