New Recast of Will coming…

So it seems that they have recasted Will because apparently "they needed to make a change with a storyline coming up". He will now be played by Chandler Massey. Too bad I thought Dylan Patton was good in the part.

This is ok with me. I think that Dylan was fine – very sweet and sensitive. But, if they’re going to give this character a meatier SL, I agree that perhaps it’s best to give it to an actor who has more of an edge.

I wish Dylan well in the future. He seems like a great person.

I was just beginning to like the actor portraying Will, and now we’re going to have to adjust to another change. Good luck Dylan.

That is the most lame excuse for a re-cast that I have ever heard! I was beginning to like this new Will. How stupid!

His pictures make him appear as a younger Will. I can’t see this baby face having an "edge"

I’m NOT saying this is fact just something I’ve read on a few sites where people were talking, speculating and talking rumors.

There’s rumors going around that they’re going with Will being gay. Dylan wasn’t comfortable in that type of roll so a recast was needed.

While I think that could be interesting, he certainly hasn’t shown any proclivity to "gayness." Heck, I’ve never even seen him in a pink shirt.

I’m sure he’s a great young man, but I can’t STAND his hair!!! I also have trouble seeing him emote in any way. If they replaced the old Arianna, I think this was a good move. Best of luck to the actor and welcome to new Will.

especially when he seems to be genuinely in puppy-love with Mia. I know there was a rumor way back when the first Will was here, before Dylan, but that never panned out either. Hope they’re not being pressured by some activist groupies to roll with a gay storyline, although it seems like just about every other soap has one right now.

Man, I was just getting used to this Will! Hopefully they won’t make the new one have too much of a different personality. I hate when they completely change the character.

Whenever they do have a gay person on, he (I don’t think there’s ever been a lesbian) is always portrayed as a flaming buffoon. Remember Harold? If they’re going to do it, they should do it a tad of realism.
