signing her new cookbook for her fans.  I’d go if it wasn’t for fighting the crowds and standing in line so long.  My poor old bad back just won’t allow that.

it is no longer politically correct to sing Christmas carols in public.  Heck, the kids can’t even sing them in school anymore.  What a sad sign of our times that all these classic beautiful tunes can no longer be celebrated for all to hear.

I’m sure if Bill sang something with any religious conotation whatsoever, someone will call in and complain.  Bah humbug!!!!

The results were put into the computer by the inept nurse (which, IMO, entered it incorrectly as false).  So, when Caroline made the switch, it was a given that Daniel was not the father, ergo, it was "the other man" whom eventually it came to be known by many (including us) as Philip.  That is why everybody that knows what Caroline did believes that Philip is the father.

Of course, it’s still my opinion that the nurse entered the info wrong in the first place which I don’t think will come out until everybody lives are in wreck and ruin.

neither of them would be admissable in court.  Neither of them were gotten knowing they were being recorded nor with their permission.  But…that doesn’t mean that’s the end of it.  Once the police find out that the criminal has admitted to the crime, they have a very strong impetus to continue the investigation until they find the proof they need to take it to court.

The way I see it, they are both in serious jeopardy (or would be in real life anyway), because of the existance of these tapes.  In fact, Roman knows of the existance of the video so should be pursuing the case full steam ahead.  But, remember, this is Salem.

How many kids can have a rotten no-good mother but they still love them.  It’s much like the dog who’s owner kicks him yet he still comes back to lick his hand.  The kid often looks at them as the only mother they know and love them regardless of what they do.  Just saying…

in the previews, that she was pretty much dead.  You gotta admit, it’s probably the only sensible way to get Bo and Hope back together again.  But I doubt it.  Unless Crystal just wants out, I can’t imagine Days letting her go.

when EJ was talking to Rafe yesterday, he became the most dispicable character I’ve ever seen on Days.  And I give the writers kudos for the lines they gave him, I can’t imagine he could say anything more harsh and un-caring than what he did.  I actually wanted to slap his face.  What a cruel, cold-hearted bastard.  (But I still love him…sigh!)  Oh, dear, am I becoming Bono?

On the other side of the coin, I like the way he seems to be softening toward Nicole.  Oh, please let them get back together.  She brings out what little humanity he has left down at the bottom of his little evil black heart.

I thought Phil acted very realistically instead of the typical crying and gnashing of teeth we are usually subjected to.  Not only that, those few lines he delivered convinced me that he really does love Melanie, I was never quite sure about that.

Of all the medicl shows (the real ones, not the dramas) I’ve watched on TV, you hardly ever see people react to bad news the way they do on Days.  The typical responses are shock first, then worry.  Our characters tend to cry before they’re hurt.  My response to the virus situation would be concern for now.  If they tell me there’s not much hope and they probably won’t make it, yes, then the tears come.  But that’s not what the viewers want to see so they have to put all the drama in.

But then, I’m the eternal optimist and most people aren’t.  Oh, well.

and be vulnerable to someone taking a chop at it but…  I think sometimes we tend to forget the bad stuff from the past and only remember the good.  It’s a lot like a relationship that’s gone bad and disolved…eventually, you only remember the good and the bad fades into the background.  I think that applies to our soap too.

And as much as we’d like our writers to write original, factual, brilliant, facinating, dramatic, and Emmy-worthy storylines, let’s keep in mind they are doing this seven days a week, 52 weeks a year.  That’s an awful lot of originality and imagination to have to dredge up.  So, I, as a 42-year faithful watcher (rarely FF), am willing to cut them some slack and just enjoy the good and try to overlook the bad.  Of course I’m still entitled to come here and bitch about the bad.

That doesn’t seem very realistic to me.  And how come all three are reacting completely differently with the virus.  Nathan is sweating, moaning and groaning,  Mel is basically quiet and sleepy, and Carly passes out.  I should think there would be some consistency among their symptoms.

    1.  EJ threw her phone across the room, she leaves, then takes a call on her cell at the hospital.  Does she carry two phones?

    2.  I don’t understand where this sudden vitriole toward EJ came from.  Other than tossing her aside after their brief affair, what has he done to make her so angry?  I can’t believe that she has that much interest in "his" kids to be upset with him for taking them away from Sami, whom she has always despised anyway.

the one soft spot he has in his heart for Nicole is her true love for Sydney.  When we look at the past, he has always been on her side when it comes to Syd which is probably why he didn’t come down on her very hard.  Not only that, in spite of it being glossed over, she told him the truth for a change.  JMO, though.

do this every year and also at Valentine’s Day.  It would be nice for everybody to keep the address and do it throughout the year.  Even "Thinking of You" cards are appreciated.

and thoroughly enjoyed them.  So far, I’ve found the films have stuck very closely to the books, which I’ve liked.  Yes, The Deathly Hallows was very dark but I still enjoyed it the way it was written.  This time it didn’t seem to translate well.  When certain deaths occured (won’t give away spoilers), they just seemed to gloss over them.
