I went to see the latest installment and have to say I was very disappointed.  It was very dark and spent most of the time following Harry, Ron, and Hermione around the back country trying to escape the death eaters and Voldemont’s minions.  Not one shot of Hogwarts, nothing of the magic of Harry Potter that made the books so interesting.  Kissing scenes that were not incidental to the plot at all and very intense, dark, and depressing.

Knowing what I know now, I would not go see it.  Anybody else see it?  Agree or disagree?

very dark and depressing too.   I haven’t seen the movie and am not sure I plan to. I read all the books and mostly enjoyed them.  I tend to like the books better than the movies though.

and thoroughly enjoyed them.  So far, I’ve found the films have stuck very closely to the books, which I’ve liked.  Yes, The Deathly Hallows was very dark but I still enjoyed it the way it was written.  This time it didn’t seem to translate well.  When certain deaths occured (won’t give away spoilers), they just seemed to gloss over them.
