but, even so, that wouldn’t account for her change in personality.  A TIA could manifest itself in some strange behavor but it would be fleeting and affect her motor skills, not particularly the mental ones.  In other words, she would have know what she had done was out of character for her after the TIA subsided.  Once she has the full-blown stroke, then, yes, it could change her personality if it’s not a major one.

According to an MRI, I’ve had about 20 TIAs so I’m just waiting for the big one.  Although as rampant as cancer runs in my family (including me), that’s what I really expect to go from.

Speaking of strokes, I spent two weeks in a rehab hospital after my spine surgery where most of the patients were stroke victims.  (My brother also had a massive stroke.)  I’ve gotta say, that’s some scary stuff.  How frustrating it must be to not be able to talk or make your body do what you want it to do.  I use to sit and look in my brother’s eyes and I’m convinced he knew what was going on but just couldn’t communicate.  I could picture someone screaming on the inside to be understood but only drooling and babbling on the out.

Sorry to get maudlin here but unless you’ve seen it up close, I don’t think anyone can appreciate the severity and impact a stroke has…on everybody.

the least they could do is keep Stefano and Kate together as the anti-super couple.  A lot of soap actors have gained fame as villians and actually become beloved characters.  I think Stef and Kate (State?) could be a gold mine.

So far they have basically gone their separate ways in their dealings but there’s no reason that couldn’t work together in their evil deeds.

upon rising in the morning was completely dressed, hair done, and make-up on.  She wasn’t particularly a pretty person but you NEVER saw her ‘scruffy.’  They (husband and two kids) used to go camping with us and when she got up to start the fire she was totally complete.  When we went down by the lake, she’d bring her lawn chair and sit there like a princess and read…NEVER go in the water.  I always wanted to drag her in and get her wet to see what happened but her SIL warned me not to.  She did wear jeans though but only when camping.

I think there must have been some certain kind of insecurity there but, nevertheless, she was no different than Chloe, even after she had her babies.

My DIL’s mother is like that also.  I had to drop off something at her house once and her BF came to the door and said she was putting on her make-up and he couldn’t see her until she was done.  Seriously!

We are from the same hometown, LaCrosse, WI.  People say it’s that "midwestern" accent.  Anyway, her cookies were macadamia/coconut.  She started them with a sugar cookie mix and went from there.  I made them for my book club and everybody raved about them.  I’ll send you the recipe if you’d like.  What I like about her is that she uses a lot of store-bought stuff which makes things go faster.  I also LOVE her ‘tablescapes’ and cocktail recipes and how they decorate her set and clothing to be all color coordinated.

Although I don’t particularly care for Ina Garten herself, she IS fascinating to watch.  I made her beef stroganof once and it was very good.  I also did a corn chowder that was good too.

I can’t remember what I made from Rachael Ray but there were a couple of things.  Obviously they weren’t too impressive or I’d remember.  I think one of them was baked sweet potato french fries.  They were dry.  I used to watch her 30 Minute Meals religiously but have kind of lost interest now.  One thing I don’t like about her is her extensive use of EVOO (extra virgin olive oil).  I HATE olive oil and avoid it like the plague.  I can’t even stand the smell of it, let alone the taste.  And it seems all her salad dressings are made with EVOO and vinegar and I HATE vinegar too.  I don’t like anything spicy or tangy.

It’s totally falling apart but I still use it on occasion.

Although I don’t cook much anymore either, I have used recipes from several shows.  I did a brined turkey from Good Eats that EVERYBODY absolutely raved about.  I’ve made cookies that were excellent I got from Sandra Lee and some other stuff from different shows…Barefoot Contessa, Paula Dean, and Rachael Ray.

I like Cake Boss much bettern than Ace of Cakes (although I like that one too).  I don’t usually like those challenge showes either but this one is a real kick.

Philip and Daniel going at it.  How realistic is that?  Yeah, maybe in a trucker bar but this is a doctor and business man, they just don’t act like that.

she will do the same with this.  At least they are giving us a realistic storyline and one that, to my knowledge, hasn’t been done before.

It’s like a cross between Cake Boss and Project Runway.  I absolutely love Buddy and Cake Boss so had to watch this.  I can’t believe some of those people are ‘professional’ bakers.  Some of the stuff they’ve come up with looks pretty bad.

I didn’t like her from the very beginning.  As I said before, I don’t really care much who wins now but if I had to pick somebody I’d pick the remaining woman (can’t remember her name now).  I do like her.  But you know what I’m afraid of?  It’s going to be Dan.  They’re keeping him on because everybody thinks he’ll be easy to beat out in the final three but I’m betting that itll be the lesser of three evils and they will vote AGAINST the others and leave Dan the winner.

A good reason for not attending Ari’s funeral or for them mentioning him.  Or maybe in Afghanistan, or Iraq.
