DAYS Casting News
As first reported in Digest‘s 12/21 issue, the Hernandez clan is expanding. Francisco San Martin has been cast as Rafe (Galen Gering) and Gabi’s (Camila Banus) brother, Dario. He will begin taping in January to first air in March. San Martin first appeared on DAYS mid-November as a patient Nathan and Melanie were treating.

I really hate they’re adding another member to the Hernandez family when they could have brought back a Horton (Bill, Lucas), a Brady child (Andrew, Jeannie), or Adrienne and Justin’s sons.
Just where was he when Arianna died? I guess he had a virus!
TAAAAADAAAAAAAAAAAA – just add water and look: instant brother! I know my memory is totally croaked now but seriously friends, I do not ever recall even a mention of a brother…
Wonder if the writer’s just wrote him as a walk on patient for a Nathan "doctoring" scene and then said to themselves "OH My! We have a family member – look at the resemblance…" I’m sure he will be a detective or work at the Pub or be a rich tycoon that never works or be carrying on an affair with any number of people in Salem in just a few short days/weeks/months after he shows up.
And no, I will not give them a break on this. I am not being kind, shutting my eyes to the normally weird stuff in the story lines, characters who don’t do normal things even what passes for "normal" in Salem, to Day’s anymore. I have invested 20 years in them, sat through tons of bunnyshin stuff…put up with it all and I am still here, but I fear that I am getting to the end of my days with Days.
A good reason for not attending Ari’s funeral or for them mentioning him. Or maybe in Afghanistan, or Iraq.
is a brother of Rafe’s and Gabbi"s, and not another baby for Sami. When all of this is over, and E.J. is gone (wishful thinking on my part only), if Sami and Rafe are still together I might entertain the thought of her having a PLANNED child with Rafe, or Rafe can adopt Sami’s kids, but no way do I want to see Sami pregnant again, so I’m happy to learn that the new Hernandez will be another brother.
Maybe he can be the reason why we’ve never seen their mother, even for the funeral, that she was taking care of their brother. Did it say how old this brother is?? probably another teen to throw in the mix with Will, Gabby, Chad and Abby. When is she suppose to start???
They killed off Arianna just to bring in another sibling? Makes no sense. They should have kept her–there was so much potential with storylilnes. And after her siding with EJ, I thought they would have paired her with EJ for a while.
From what I could make out in that photo from the link in the OP he looks to be about the same age as Nathan or Melanie. Maybe when Nathan ends up with Melanie and Phillip and Chloe get back together he’ll be there to pick up the pieces that are left of Stephanie. HOPE NOT
wouldn’t you say? I mean the guy just died to open the virus storyline, which lasted a couple of weeks, and they’re already bringing him back as Gabi and Rafe’s brother? (Shakes head in disbelief).
they mention them in conversations, would not anyone ask how is your brother or sister doing. If they make it about that (which I’ll bet a cookie, they won’t), I will find it really tought to believe – we don’t forget or not mention our brave troops.
