Nadia in real life doesn’t wear pants much. So that would coincide with Chloe.

and the story would be so much more believable to see a frazzeled new mother the way it is in real life.  I don’t mind at all watching the newest fashions on the actresses – it’s fun, but when it goes against the grain of the story, it is distracting to say the least because I keep thinking what someone else said…"Where’s the baby spit-up?"  And where are the endless baby bottles on the drainboard in the kitchen or is Chloe doing breast feeding?  Where is the stacks of diapers – you don’t always keep them in the baby’s room.  I can’t wait to see when Parker is two…will they still have a House Beautiful magazine cover apartment or will there be toys strewn about the place?

It’s not just about her appearance though.  Chloe is not playing the part of a mother in a way that I can believe.  She doesn’t seem connected to the baby at all.  She seems like she’s acting.

came home (when Maggie was babysitting…already at what four or five days old?) It’s totally unbelievable – like I mentioned before that child is doomed for boarding school or a lifetime of babysitters…

I imagine her dry cleaning bill will skyrocket ;)  All that baby barf and other, uh, bodily secretions that babies make ;)

What, he hasn’t made her mascara run during a diaper change, when the cold air causes a physiological reaction?

Just because the actress in real life likes to dress to the nines, doesn’t mean the *character* has to follow suite.  Doesn’t the show have any say in any of this?

Those of us with a parent card can testify that with a newborn, the luxury of a hot shower more than once a week can be a privilege.  Let alone a hot meal, or anything else.

I’m a week or so behind in my viewing, but I’m with you all – she’s totally unrealistic.  Sure we watch the soaps to "escape" but nobody "expects" to see somebody looking like a runway model right after giving birth.  She doesn’t have to look like death warmed over (like I diid!)… but as it was she was way overdressed/over made up for just hanging out at home.  Give us a break at least – even a peasant skirt or something!

her infant so much from the getgo? Chloe is so obsessed with Dan finding out the truth, she lays the kid on Maggie to rush off. She deserves to be brought down hard and I can’t wait to see her get lambasted. Chloe is such a lame cardboard character and I wish this crisis would be the start of a turnaround.

talent of actress that will look the part that she is playing goes much more to the believablity of the role she is playing.  If Nadia ever got a serious part in a movie like for instance Meryl Streep (not that Nadia is in the same leage as Ms. Streep in the acting dept.) in Sophie’s Choice or Silkwood, (heck, look how Cher shocked everyone with her acting ability and won an Oscar in that movie!!!)  I would hate to watch the mother in Sophie’s Choice wear full make up looking beautiful with her top hanging out of her dress in a concentration camp setting.

If Nadia landed some movie role where the actress had to do more than make her eyes tear up or do a pretty pout she’d never get the role…Nadia is talented but she is a Barbie Doll one trick pony – I would love to see her actually "act".  Even when she was Ghoul Girl, all she did was hide under the hood until she emerged like a beautiful butterfly or when she got acid in her face – still all the makeup.  Even when she was in labor with Parker – not a runny mascara moment at all.  No mascara is THAT good.

Hope, (Kristen) in prison, when Zack passed, or when she was in the hospital ill, dresses, the part, no make up, hair mussed.  Heck even fashion diva Kate wore a waitress uniform when she was slinging hash at the diner, and wore grubbies when she was gutting fish on the trawler.   Sami, (Alison) dresses the part that she does well too (as much as I gritch about her "steadfast favorite lines" – which I don’t blame Alison, I again blame the writers).  But I digress, Nadia isn’t believable as a new mother at all.  Especially, now that she pawned off Parker after less than a week to a babysitter – after saying all those months how she always dreamed of being a mother.   Nancy should come visit and smack her!

I still honestly think her dressing to the nines and wearing makeup and perfect hair all the time stems back to her ghoul girl days.  I mean honestly, she rather have had Brady the man she loves who loved her think she was dead rather than let him see her with that scar on her face! and she was an opera star. used to being in the spotlight.  she’s just very high maintenence.

makes Cindy Crawford in her heyday (Pepsi commercial) look like something out of a dog food can – a natual beauty that stops men in their tracks.  When she is made up and decked out she could be a very expensive Parisian model – with a wonderful personality too.  And my friend has maintained her looks for the last 25 years that I’ve known her, she is 41 now.  However, she admits the reason, (besides her job owning a salon), is she is insecure about herself and is afraid to loose her husband – (she’s been married to him since she was 19 – two kids now grown).  I’ve been in a social setting when she’s said that and even the guys (including my ex) said her husband would be an out and out fool to ever cheat on her.  Yet, this is her greatest fear.  That being said, she does wear sweats (she makes them look good though), heck she could wear a brown paper sack and make it look good.

I am wondering if Chloe has an insecurity in there somewhere too.  We all try to look our best, dress up, wear makeup, exercise like the devil himself is after us (and that devil’s food cake is!)  but I still think being a new mom would take some of the wind out of her sails in "real Salem life" – if even just for a week or two.  And my biggest beef with Chloe is her leaving her baby after it was just born.

ever since she was married to Lucas and cheated on him with Daniel.  Now she wants to hide behind some lame excuse of "I thought he was cheating with Carly."  She’s weak, whiny, and I’m sick of the whole story line and hope it’s over soon, but not before her AND Philip get caught.  Regardless of who slept with who or why it happened, or all the promises in the world never to do it again doesn’t change the fact that Daniel will be the one losing the most …. he’ll be losing Parker ….. the hell with Chloe.  She’ll find another bedwarmer soon enough.

She already has her body back?  She’s dressed perfectly with a newborn?  They don’t even look tired!  Why hasn’t her mom come to help and meet their grandchild?  All totally unbelievable!

upon rising in the morning was completely dressed, hair done, and make-up on.  She wasn’t particularly a pretty person but you NEVER saw her ‘scruffy.’  They (husband and two kids) used to go camping with us and when she got up to start the fire she was totally complete.  When we went down by the lake, she’d bring her lawn chair and sit there like a princess and read…NEVER go in the water.  I always wanted to drag her in and get her wet to see what happened but her SIL warned me not to.  She did wear jeans though but only when camping.

I think there must have been some certain kind of insecurity there but, nevertheless, she was no different than Chloe, even after she had her babies.

My DIL’s mother is like that also.  I had to drop off something at her house once and her BF came to the door and said she was putting on her make-up and he couldn’t see her until she was done.  Seriously!

If Don had to wait until I was complete or had makeup on he’d never see me.  I do wear makeup if we’re going out but I’m at an age where I don’t care if I’m completely made up around the house or running to the store.  If people don’t like me for who I am rather than what I look like it’s their loss.

I remember when my cousin was in high school you wouldn’t see her without her bionic bangs.  You know the one’s they were curled, teased and stood away from the face, very stiff.  I thnk that was in the lat 80’s early 90’s.

She stated once that TPTB like to put her in outfits that expose the "girls" quite a bit. I know she likes dresses over pants but she is uncomfortable with all the cleavage she has to flaunt. I don’t think she has much say in the wardrobe dept. It’s more like they buy clothes just for Chloe and then she gets a choice of only those clothes. If everything is tight and revealing, she basically has no choice.
