Participantboth Houghs. I doubt Julianne will ever be back either. Her career and personal life with cutie pie Starcrest is probably going to be her priority. It just goes to show you, if you’ve got it, you’ll go far. Good luck to Derek.
I kinda wish they’d bring Corky on as a permanent member. They always seem to have enough "older" women to pair him with. I like him as he has a good sense of humor and is very personable.

ParticipantJosh, himself, just isn’t interested in pairing up with anyone. He may have some valid reasons he’d just like to stay "single" on the show. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. And I’m not implying anything here so don’t jump all over me.
And, like we say for the women, every man doesn’t need a woman in their lives (as illustrated by several women in our group alone), could it not apply to the men also? Maybe Roman is just content with his job and his family.

ParticipantI think he’s going to follow in Stefano and EJ’s footsteps. He’s already shown us a bit of his dark side on a couple of occasions.

ParticipantRob said a "couple" can be a dangerous thing. Just look at what he and Amber accomplished as a couple. He just thought they should be broken up, it was one or the other had to gt before they got too strong as an alliance.
And I’m so with you about Russell. What a pompous ASSHOLE! I’m so glad that farmer found the idol. Oh, wait until Russell finds out THAT! But I think the players will be suggested by the producers to keep him on for a while because he is a big draw in the ratings. I don’t know why since so many people dislike him.

ParticipantI’m kind of suspect of this show. Don’t you wonder how all these "stars" could have such interesting backgrounds and not know anything about it? I have a sneaky feeling that much of what they show is greatly, um, shall we say, enhanced?

Participantcould Tyler be any uglier? I thought Nick Jagger was ugly but the two of them could certainly have a "face-off" for most ugly. I guess God gave them talent instead of looks.

Participanthad to have been living at the South Pole in an ice cave for their entire life. I can’t believe that. As John Lenon may have said, "If you’ve heard of the Pope, you’ve heard of the Beatles!"

Participantunderstand how Arianne Zucker can be catagorized as a supporting actress. If James Scott warrants a lead role, shouldn’t she too? To me, a supporting role is someone like Kate or Maggie. Heck Arianne has had more screen time than either Kristian or Allison. So what, I wonder, is the criteria.
Other than that, I whole-heartedly agree with all the noms.

ParticipantI was thinking when they were kissing on the couch how many years that has been going on between them. They must feel as comfortable with each other as a real-life married couple in those scenes.
I can’t imagine how a spouse would feel though about someone kissing their partner like that for so many years. But, I guess it’s all just a job for them. They do it well, that’s for sure.
Anyway, I hope that this is the LAST time they are broken up. I only wonder what’s going to happen to Carly now.

ParticipantPhilip won’t do anything to Kate for this conspiricy. How many times have both he AND Lucas totally disowned her yet they still put up with all her crap. My God, she tried to poison Chloe before, there should be a restraining order against her.
I was just glad she finally told Philip that she washed the pills down the drain. And I was so hoping they were giving her the anti-depresants in the hospital, although I don’t believe they’d really work that fast. But at least it’s showing Chloe that they DO help her. I hope she’s well on her way to recovery now so this storyline isn’t dragged out like most of the others are.

Participantto Prop 13 (Save Our Homes) so that helps. And our sales tax (in my county anyway) is only 6%. You know, I don’t know if there’s sales tax on homes or not. I’ve never really noticed. And we don’t have state income tax. But everything else costs just as much as it did in CA. It didn’t when I first moved here but it caught up very rapidly.
The thing I hated when I first came here (in 2000) was you could still smoke in restaurants. Thankfully, they’ve come to their senses and gotten rid of that. But you can still smoke on the restaurant’s patio. I hate that because of the great outdoor weather here, I like to eat outside but not if I have to have smoke blowing in my face while I’m eating.
I guess this topic really should be in the Pub, huh?

ParticipantFrom now on, if I ever need surgery again, I’m going to go to Salem University Hospital and have Daniel perform it.

Participanttrying a tested medicine but one that just didn’t happen to help out Chloe and he knows there is an alternative that might have been better. I didn’t make much of that comment other than someone in Salem is always blaming themselves for something they have no control over.
She should have just taken the damn meds to see if it would help. Dumb, dumb, dumb!

Participantwhat will happen when Simon Cowell’s X-Factor comes on. I saw in the paper they are doing auditions here in Miami next weekend. I think he had a big enough following that a lot of people will switch over to his new show. I think I remember seeing that it would be on at the same time as Idol.
Also, that’s when DWTS is on (they are announcing the next season’s stars tonight) and my DVR can only record two shows. I may have to make a choice as I’m anxious to see X-Factor and DWTS is my #1 show. They have no age limit (X-Factor) and allow duets, trios, etc. to audition.

ParticipantMy property taxes here in Florida are FOUR times higher than they were in CA for the same size house.
