I thought it was hilarious also when Sami referred to the DiMera Mansion as the House of Frankenstein and Kate as Frau Blucher (Mon. or Tues. show).

I remember when General Hospital’s stories revolved around the seventh floor nurses’ station, and Jessie Brewer and Dr. Steve Hardy were the main characters.  Man, that was a long time ago.

Kate looked like a six-year old playing dress up from an old trunk in grandma’s attic.

Would you believe that Sophie’s Choice dates back to 1982?  Boy, how time flies.  I just watched that movie for the first time on cable a couple of weeks ago.  Great movie and performance by Meryl Streep.

I’m certain that Mel celebrated her 18th birthday on the show last year.  Maybe Phillip will throw a big party for Mel’s 19th birthday.

He also needs a good haircut.  Stern is  long past the age when long locks look good on a guy.

Kate’s skirt should have been one size larger–it’s all wrinkled from being stretched so tightly.

The children grow up so quickly on DOOL that we have relatively young grandmothers with adult grandchildren.  Kate may be trying to play down the "granny" image.  Marlena never wanted to be called "Grandma".  Thank goodness Alice Horton loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother.

It still bothers me that history was ignored when it came to Chelsea (Georgia).  If my memory is not too fuzzy, Billie gave birth to a four-month old stillborn fetus.  Billie held that baby in her arms and grieved.  Years later, we were supposed to believe that Stefano whisked away Billie’s live baby and just happened to have a dead baby the same age to substitute, so that Billie could mourn her loss.  Sorry to get off the original subject.

I’ve never watched "Brothers and Sisters" and was not aware that Rob Lowe was leaving the show.  He left "The West Wing" after one season, because he thought the show would revolve around his character, but Martin Sheen became so popular playing the president that the show’s focus shifted to him.

Melanie celebrated her 18th birthday in Salem sometime in 2009.  I always thought they made a point of her turning 18 so that she would no longer be jail bait.  Also, I thought Mia was 16 when she gave birth, and that was one year ago this month.

I started watching DOOL just a couple of weeks after it first aired.  Back then, soaps were either 15 minutes or 30 minutes long.  My favorite super couple was always Doug & Julie.  I’m now 67.

Melanie celebrated her 18th birthday on DOOL several months ago.  Before that, she was jail-bait.  Philip, Shawn D, Belle & Mimi graduated from Salem High in 2002.  They should all be in their mid-twenties now.  Brady Black was just a few years older than his half-sister, Belle.
