     that will surprise us all, but if I have to actually watch Chloe go to bed with a stranger because of this horrid character’s blackmail, then he has replaced E.J. DiMera as the biggest slime-ball of all time in my book.  I agree that Chloe doesn’t deserve this kind of writing, and hope she winds up getting something big on this guy and makes it stick.   I have to wonder what his real intentions are, because no one can sink this low, but dang, he sure gives E.J. a run for his money in the bottom-feeder department.

     Will and Sami both need Marlena’s help desperately right now.  If the new writers show Will’s coming out the right way, I think it could be a very beautiful story to stress the sensitivity and inward battles this young man will have to go through would be the way to go.  What I don’t want to see is a full-blown sexual love-fest and all that would entail between the actors.  The heartbreak, confusion and feelings of hidden shame and guilt plus fear of rejection Will would have finally admitting to his own self that he is gay would definitely be the way I would prefer to see this story unfold.  And you are so right about Sami needing Marlena in her life right now, especially with her fear of losing her children to the DiMeras.  Sami fights her battles well, but she definitely could use her mom’s counseling and guidance now.  I think she’s trying her best to stay strong right now, and Rafe is certainly the perfect mate for Sami, because he does give her perspective and the ability to recognize when she makes bad choices, but she still makes them.  Marlena would be perfect as the combination mom/doc who could step into a situation where Sami would think before she acts.  John, I hope, will be healthy and back to his old self, ready to join Rafe, Bo, Hope and Roman to do battle with the DiMeras.  I can’t wait for their return.  I haven’t been this excited about a return in ….. well ….. ever!

     I need something to make me like Jen again this time around.  For some reason I am not at all relating to Jennifer, and I can’t quite put my finger on why.  She’s a little too nosey (but so is everyone in Salem), a way too insecure in her looks and actions regarding Daniel (but I’ll give her that she’s been out of the dating game a really long time), and I really hope this will change because I loved Jennifer before.  This time, not so much.  By the way, those scenes with Hope yesterday really showed their closeness and that I liked.  The Brownies’ cookie making and frame crafting — not so much.  Get back to what you do best Jennifer — sleuthing and reporting.  This medical administrative stuff must bore the hell out of you, simply because it’s not you this time around.  Maybe you do belong with Jack and not Daniel.

     to make decisions that will help her and not hurt her.  What this pimp did was illegal.  He video-taped her without her knowledge or consent, which now he holds over her head so that he can blackmail her into becoming a prostitute.  THAT’S ENTRAPMENT!  Hope the new writers will do something with the way that the law itself and the legal system is so misrepresented on this show.

     but you would think at least editing would catch some of these glitches.

     it was a bad one, not only ruining the Quinn character, but further destroying a veteran actress (Nadia Bjorlin) even further than she has already been destroyed by this writing team.  Chalk another one up to Ms. Higley’s inept ability to write good stories for the women of Salem, and also Ken Corday’s refusal to see how much this woman has destroyed his show.  I don’t know if Vivian was married to this bum’s father or not, and I don’t care; because, the fact still remains that Quinn being Vivian’s son is an unbelievable, practically impossible, situation.

     they’ve gone on long enough, especially Rafe 2.  As for E.J., I could not agree with you more casey.  They are really making a mess out of an actor who does marvelous work, and they are making him out to look like a scared little boy, afraid the big, bad mommie is going to beat him up.  Please, the real E.J. DiMera would have stood by his warning to simply have her "disappear."  I hate the way they are writing E.J. now.  Redemption is one thing, but the crawling, sniveling, love-struck COWARD he now appears to be is not what I expect to see from James Scott.  It makes his character look like a huge joke, and I’ve never thought of E.J. that way before.  A wretched slime-bucket jerk, yes, but a COWARD running from Nicole’s threats and tantrums, NO WAY.

     always have, always will.  As for the character of Taylor, that failure was a direct result of the failure to write for her.  Having introduced her as this character who made a fool out of E.J. DiMera by this instant, lightening-bolt love-fest was probably the biggest mistake this show has ever made.  They blew it not only for the actors involved, but the fans were outraged by it and because of it, the character of Taylor took the heat for it.  Now, if you must know, the character I certainly and positively DO disagree with everyone on is Nicole, who I truly hope gets what she deserves well before Taylor is long-gone.   The fight yesterday made E.J. look worse that he has been looking, if that’s even possible.  What he should have done as E.J. DiMera was nothing like what was depicted on my screen.  I was screaming at him to get up and knock that shrew on her ass.

     the head-writer (DH) exclusively if the characters were "not well received."  This woman and her controlled staff ripped these characters apart, and just like Humpty Dumpty, they could never be put back together again.  I realize Taylor and Quinn are somewhat new, but with Vivian being written off, I see no use for Quinn whatsoever.  Taylor will probably leave once she finds out about the "real" E.J. DiMera.  But, too little too late after such horrific writing.  As for Joe Mascolo, I should think that it would be his choice and not Corday’s, if in fact he does leave.  The man is probably just getting fed up with work, and sometimes you can plainly see that he is not a happy camper any longer.  Time for him to retire and hand over the reins to E.J., Chad and, hopefully, Lexi.  Give this beautiful and talented actress a good storyline and make her just a little bad.  If that means sending Abe off into the wild blue yonder, then so be it.  The man has had nothing to do forever now.  I’m surprised they gave up on Taylor so quickly, but I just can’t see any chemistry whatsoever with her and E.J., and that’s the truth.  Guess we’ll probably see a reuniting of Nicole and Brady at some point, but whatever happens, the returns will be more interesting to me now.  If Corday is to be believed, the show is returning to its "roots," being family, love and romance.  I would like to see them bring Anna back for Roman, though.

     I have always, always, always felt Nicole gets what she gives.  I wouldn’t want her gone from the show, but I have no sympathy whatsoever for Nicole.  She’s done more than her share of crime in Salem as far as I’m concerned, and she gets no breaks from me.  I agree that Taylor and E.J. have no chemistry for now, but Tamara Braun is much better than Natalia Livingston in the acting department; however, NL was a prettier actress, IMO.  Just could not stand her quirky, breathless speech.  TB makes it real for me, and she is much more convincing in the role.  But, on the subject of Nicole, I have she gets exactly what she deserves, just like E.J.’s going to get.

    As for those I would like to see go, my choices would be:

    1)  Gabbi;

    2)  Chloe;

    3)  Quinn;

    4)  Brady (if they can’t give these 4 characters decent stories, they can all go, IMHO).

     my first thought was Ivan, but today Vivian told Gus that she had an affair with a man when she was in Australia, and that he turned out to be a horrible man, who as much pushed her out of Quinn’s life from birth, so it wouldn’t be Ivan, because from what I remember about Ivan, he adored Vivian and would follow her anywhere.  Even though I don’t like Quinn, and it looks like he’s going to continue to blackmail Chloe into becoming a call girl, I can’t help but see another E.J. here ….. a young man who was controlled by his father, even so far as to think turning it around on Vivian is the right thing to do.  I couldn’t help but think he wished she had fought harder for him.  Today I saw some regret in his eyes, and in Vivian’s as well.  In any case, I’m willing to get some further background on this ‘mate’ before I pass judgment too harshly.  Chloe once again made a very bad choice and lept before she looked, so to me she’s at least half to blame.  She should have thought a little harder about jumping into bed with this guy right off the bat, especially since she has to prove that she is a fit mother.  My guess is this guy Quinn is working for Kate, and this was another of her vindictive plots against Chloe so that she will never gain custody of Parker.  Damn Kate …. doesn’t ALL of your kids leaving you mean anything to you.  Time for Stefano to kick your sorry butt out, because I truly think that she’s behind all of this.  Time will tell, but it won’t surprise me one bit if it happens that way.  As for Quinn’s bio-dad, we’ll probably never know, because the plot, I believe, will be based on Kate’s blaming Chloe for Philip leaving with Parker.  Just my thoughts, friends, no spoiler here.

     since they’re definitely going to go with the Will gay story line, but I read they’re slowing it down some, but I don’t think Dario, because it looks like they’ll be pairing him with Melanie, for sure.  Quinn, probably, depending on what happens with him between now and when Vivian leaves; probably Gus will be gone with her, as well; Taylor I wouldn’t bet on; I think she’s here to stay; Justin and Adrienne — I wouldn’t think so since they are definitely going with their son (Sonny) who will be arriving soon; but I do think it will be more recurring actors than contract ones, which means people like Kinsey and "T", and it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if one or two more contract people might be in this group, like Chloe or even Stefano (as far-fetched as that sounds) and Kate.  Kate has no storyline whatsoever with none of her kids around any longer and who seems to be seen less and less of lately, and I read that Stefano is going to have a health crisis, so it would not surprise me if Joe and Lauren would both be written out at some point, leaving E.J. and Chad to run the DiMera empire!  Now, if they were to bring Lucas back, that would change my mind where Kate is concerned, but let’s face it, Kate has been pushed to the back-burner for quite a while now.
