Participantthe DiMera mansion when they were trying to get the goods on what Stefano was hiding, Vivian plainly suggested Gus was gay. If you recall, when he said he was hiding in Kate’s closet, Vivian asked him if he tried anything on, or if he found anything he liked. LMAO. I had always suspected he was gay, but then I remembered that when he left his madam after he refused to put Maggie in the sarcophagus, they showed him in bed with a woman. I agree, he is strange though, and I find it funny that no mention of him has been made about exiting with Vivian, and we already know that Ivan will return for her exit. I wouldn’t think they would have any plans to keep Gus after her departure, but I have not read anything about his.

Participantshe will probably be on screen until at least mid-September, and perhaps leaving around the same time most of the others will be. I’m sure everyone won’t be leaving at once, though. I did read that Brady will have a huge part in Dario’s departure; Ivan will be there to exit Vivian out of town; and Chloe will spend her last scenes with Brady (Sept. 28th) as well, while Nicholas will a part of Carly’s exit when she goes into rehab. As far as I know, though, Kinsey will be a huge part of Chloe’s storyline when Kate sees to it that her prostitution is uncovered, and Kinsey sort of takes on Kate for it, so I’m really looking forward to that. The door has been left open for all, especially Chloe, and no one is getting killed off to my knowledge, although Taylor is my most likely suspect in that department. Her last day wll be Sept. 23rd.

ParticipantI knew this was going to be the ‘dark side’ of Taylor TPTB have been telling us about. In all probability, Nicole doesn’t even know about it. How does she know Quinn? Was she one of his "girls?" Seems so, so when she told Stefano the other day that there were a lot of things about her that he didn’t know, this is probably the underlying meaning of that reference to the side of her no one in Salem knows about. Well, whatever it is, I’m ready to say goodbye to Taylor, which will be on September 23rd, and if I never see here again, it will be too soon.

Participantall I saw in that blog was her beyond belief hurt for being demoralized and kicked to the curb ….. A SECOND TIME. This woman IS extremely talented. It’s not her fault she had shitty writers and a louse for a boss who not once, but twice, saw fit to "take her out." Well, this time she’d be damned to take it lying down, and I can’t say that I blame her. I don’t believe she has too high of an opinion of herself at all. Her words might have been a little harsh when she talked about the "grey" audition; but it was obviously meant to be comical, and to me it was a means to an end outlet she obviously needed to take. She damn well knows how old she is, and she certainly must realize that she can’t pull off 40 any longer. We all have to accept that fact when we look in the mirror from year to year. I just think she was so hurt that she was not given the courtesy of a face-to-face meeting with KC, that this was her way of lashing out at him. She proved, to me at least, that she indeed did have a heart when she felt so completely sorry for the two other employees who were fired before her. To me she was just rephrasing the "age" old adage, "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me." I’m sure she had mixed emotions when she wrote the blog, because according to some articles I’ve read about her, she truly loves many of her co-stars, young and old alike. She just appears to have more nerve than most of them when it comes to voicing her opinion, and I would not be the least surprised if she doesn’t go off on KC again before she leaves, for good this time around. I agree with her to a point – employers just don’t give a damn any longer; if they did, KC would have met with her face-to-face. However, knowing this is Louise Sorrel we’re talking about here, and probably knowing how she would have taken it for the SECOND time around, tells me that he would rather eat shit and die before doing that.

Participantthe war between the DiMera and Kiriakis families begins next week. E.J. and Brady try to avoid it, especially after E.J. decides NOT to take revenge on Brady; however, Victor and Stefano have other ideas. The two heads of their families arrange a meeting on the pier (where else) and just as one of Stefano’s goons is prepared to shoot Victor, Maggie rushes in to try and stop it, and she gets shot instead.

Participantfor her horrid crimes since she’s returned to Salem. Too bad Louise had such lousy writing forced upon her, because she certainly is capable of some fine acting. She has been nothing more than poorly written since the day she returned, and that’s Higley’s fault, but I am so ready for Vivian to be gone. However, something horrific should happen to her as ‘just desserts’ for the suffering she has caused not only to Carly, but to practically everyone her vindictive plans have placed in a near-death situation, including Maggie. I’m hoping that Viv’s dues might come through Nicholas Alamain (who Vivian absolutely adores) turning against her in the end in favor of and reuniting with his mother, Carly. For me, that would be her ultimate payback.

Participantall for the better. Well, this is one peeve that has been obviously ignored for years and the one that needs to be addressed more than any other; the fact that no one in Salem is truly punished for crime, and it’s not just the DiMeras. And, if they are punished, it’s not for very long or they are released on a technicality, or the Salem P.D. are simply not effective enough to make a case, or the judge or D.A. or witness, or someone clearly able to convict a criminal, is either paid off or killed off. This needs to stop. People have to start taking responsibility for their actions (Hope was a good start) regardless of who they are or how much money they have or who they know. If people are going to be proud of the show once again, it must start with the writing, and believability and accountability have always been the place to begin as far as improving DOOL is concerned, IMHO. Yesterday’s show was a good start in the right direction. Rafe is a respectable officer of the law and former FBI, whose testimony alone should have been enough to put Stefano and E.J. behind bars, plus having Rafe 2 in plain sight made it all the more silly and ridiculous that they were not held over for trial. This needs to stop at once.

ParticipantI did have to laugh out loud when we saw Jennifer shove that bar of soap in Carly’s mouth, though. Actually, I read it was white chocolate (which CC happens to love), melted and shaped to look like a bar of soap. In any case, good scenes by both CC and MR. I have been less than impressed with MR since her return, and feel Dena Higley was ruining this character. She was very convincing to me yesterday that she cared more about helping her dear, practically life-long, friend with her addiction than she did about Daniel or Jack or anyone else for that matter. Once again, very real emotions and true-life actions on the part of the actresses. As a matter of fact, it was sort of along the lines of Nicole and Kate yesterday, where I felt like saying out loud (which I did, by the way), ‘now THIS is what I’m talkin’ about.’ It was pure emotion coupled with believability on the part of all 4 superb actresses yesterday. Great job by all, along with direction. I’d say the show is on the right track, for sure.

Participantof changes beginning to take place. People were just getting tired of the same old crap, including the same old personalities. It’s about time the characters started acting more like "normal" people, showing their true feelings. Kate may have started out hating Stefano for forcing her to marry him, but she has grown to love him and she appears to be genuinely concerned about his health. Nicole may love Brady, but she has always been painfully aware of her love for E.J. as well; otherwise, none of the travesties he has committed against her would even matter. I like the more realistic personalities shown yesterday between these two. It’s a good sign of things to come, IMO.

Participanther family cannot possibly get to spend much quality time with her, or she with them. With all she has on her plate right now, I’m sure their (husband and kids) piece of her pie is maybe a 2 out of 8, at best. Have you seen their home that she’s given tours of? It would seem she’s a pretty "high maintenance" babe and accustomed to a lifestyle that would require a VERY large income. She’s also on the cover of Self magazine this month, as well as having a spread in some other magazine last month about diet and health (she looks so great, by the way), so I do have to wonder how much of herself she even has for her family. Seems to me like it would be impossible to spread oneself so thin.

ParticipantI’ve recently read an interview given by Lauren Koslow to some radio personality (I think the thread is on http://www.daytimeroyaltyonline.com where she is ecstatic over the new storyline for her that the new writers have created. She didn’t give much away, but I think she will be back in the business world once again.

Participanthate the character — that’s always been my thinking where Kate is concerned. I always found myself wishing that since it was obvious that she was here to stay, that they would write a story around her involving someone else that I couldn’t stand on the show; that way, I wouldn’t care what she did or how she did it, because I didn’t care about the other character either. I still believe that the real reason behind Kate’s hatred of Chloe doesn’t have anything to do with Philip or Parker, or even Lucas for that matter. It’s all about being dumped by Daniel for Chloe, and even though she couldn’t win Daniel’s love, she will always hate Chloe for it, and in Kate’s mind that means she must get revenge. Kate needs an exorcism. LOL!

Participantbut her wardrobe, at times, does leave something to be desired. As for her hair, the color is gorgeous on her, but I would love to see her with a really good and more modern cut, maybe something like Kate’s haircut (without any colored streaks, thank you). I bet she would look great in it.

ParticipantI’ve grown very fond of Dario, and he has changed my opinion of Melanie significantly as well. I couldn’t stand the girl or the actress before they put her and Dario together, but now that they have I can see what would have been a beautiful relationship. They are two peas in a pod and they work off of each other almost as well as E.J. and Nicole, in that they can both dish it out, but take it as well. Dario doesn’t baby Melanie like most of the men in her life. He lets her know when she’s acting like one, though, and that’s what this character needed. Then, when they finally did show that they were attracted to one another, and how darn cute they are together now, I’m wondering why they didn’t keep this character, as well as the actor. They are "win/win" for me, and I wish the talking heads would see just how popular they are becoming. Since they seem to love Molly so damn much, I’m sure that once they send the character of Dario packing, they’ll put Melanie right back on the Brady train, and that I simply could not stomach.
