She directed the August 1st show.  She talks about how much harder it was directing over just acting but it sounds like she enjoyed it.  I don’t know how she has time to do it all!  She’s like the Energizer Bunny! lol

Just read today that she’s producing a new reality show.  She has a group of friends (including Lisa Rinna, Ali Larter) who get together, ladies only, for dinner once/month, with the women rotating the hosting responsibilities.  Now they’re going to film them.  I personally am not sure why they’d want cameras there – I think it would change the dynamics of the friendships, but what do I know!

Lisa Rinna that quotes her as saying she is not a part of this new reality show and she goes further saying something about friends going behind her back and not being pleased with that.  Hmmmm…I wonder if Ali is letting her personal agenda for her career take advantage of friendships.  My personal opinion of Ali is that she is a bulldozer going after anything that will keep her in the spotlight.  I can’t help but wonder what her husband thinks of all of this being an everyday kind of guy with an everyday kind of job.  And how much times does all of this keep her from her kids?  Just some thoughts that ran through my mind…just my opinion.

her family cannot possibly get to spend much quality time with her, or she with them.  With all she has on her plate right now, I’m sure their (husband and kids) piece of her pie is maybe a 2 out of 8, at best.  Have you seen their home that she’s given tours of?  It would seem she’s a pretty "high maintenance" babe and accustomed to a lifestyle that would require a VERY large income.  She’s also on the cover of Self magazine this month, as well as having a spread in some other magazine last month about diet and health (she looks so great, by the way), so I do have to wonder how much of herself she even has for her family.  Seems to me like it would be impossible to spread oneself so thin.

I have to agree, though. Her son is the same age as my youngest, plus she has another little one. I’m not condemning her decision to work outside the home, but honestly, she’s everywhere. Let’s face it, if she’s on the set of Days, then off to the Biggest Loser, plus a new show, multiple product endorsement commercials, promoting her book(s), etc., how much time is she giving her family? Not only that, I’m wiped out from grocery shopping, I can’t imagine she’s full of vim and vigor by the time she gets home.

I think she’s branching out even further because the future of DOOL is not that secure. Look at the other soap opera cancellations in the recent past. The Biggest Loser is shot in LA where she lives and obviously that new reality show will be as well. I don’t think we should condemn her success. Perhaps she brings her kids to the sets of both shows. Who knows what goes on. Book promotions don’t go on forever.

I saw Lisa Rinna’s tweets about the new Hollywood Mom’s Club and she is PO’d!! She talked about how Ali went behind her back and sold the show and that she WILL NOT be a part of it. Sure makes you wonder what went on there! Allsion did not comment on her Twitter page. I have no idea what Ali is like as a person or a mother, but I do hope she continues her role as Sami (with slightly more maturity in the writing!).

It was just some thoughts that came to mind after reading Lisa Rinna’s twitter and the info on Days Cafe.  She’s come a long way from the young girl who played Sami to the woman she is now.  This just looks too familiar with respect to great success sometimes becoming a negative in a star’s personal life.  I hope that doesn’t happen for Ali and her family.

Mommytutu – you are correct, you almost cannot turn on the t.v. (RR show and magazines also) that Alison isn’t there or in them.  I can’t imagine getting to the Parent/Teacher conf., or baking brownies for school functions, or having even enough energy to "hug the hubby" with all that a normal, every day Mom has to do, let alone all the extra curricular activities she has plus full time work without some sort of help.
