SOD has confirmed that Shelby Young, the actress who portrays Kinsey, will be leaving Salem, and that she has already wrapped up her taping. No further explanation was given, so there’s another one out. However, she was not on the show that long so I don’t know if she’s the 6th departure Corday was speaking of or not. He didn’t say all of the departures were vets, and we now know that although Bren Foster (Quinn) is leaving, it’s only temporarily. He will return at some point.
I thought his acting yesterday was horrible. He was okay as long as he only had an occasional quip to throw out but his disagreement with Will was not good at all. He seemed very ill at ease with his lines.
I don’t mind losing Kinsey at all, although I was kind of liking her warming up to Sonny. She wasn’t as overbearing as she usually is and I would have liked to see how her singing lessons with Chloe turned out.
she will probably be on screen until at least mid-September, and perhaps leaving around the same time most of the others will be. I’m sure everyone won’t be leaving at once, though. I did read that Brady will have a huge part in Dario’s departure; Ivan will be there to exit Vivian out of town; and Chloe will spend her last scenes with Brady (Sept. 28th) as well, while Nicholas will a part of Carly’s exit when she goes into rehab. As far as I know, though, Kinsey will be a huge part of Chloe’s storyline when Kate sees to it that her prostitution is uncovered, and Kinsey sort of takes on Kate for it, so I’m really looking forward to that. The door has been left open for all, especially Chloe, and no one is getting killed off to my knowledge, although Taylor is my most likely suspect in that department. Her last day wll be Sept. 23rd.
Her style of acting was way over the top. Filled with cliches—drama queen, loud, boisterous, teenage girl who was gossipy and always concerned about what people were doing and saying. If she had toned it down a little, it would have helped me connect with her more. She was just super annoying to me.
