ParticipantI’m also looking forward to "Once Upon A Time" premiering next month, which is, I’m assuming, based on the same type of show — sort of a modern-day fairytale. Not only do the previews look good, but it was written by the same writers who penned "Lost", which I absolutely loved.

Participantdisgustingly happy ever since this happened to John, and it’s clear that he intends to use John’s situation to further his run for mayor.
I also see a huge wedge being driven between Carrie and Austin as a result of her taking John’s case. She would definitely need help, though, and I think it would be a great idea if Justin joined with her in the battle. I did read that we are going to see a court case, or a trial, come next month, and I am so looking forward to that. I’ve been hoping for a juicy court case or trial involving a large part of the cast being involved, and it looks like we are going to have one. I don’t know how it will turn out, but it sure is going to keep me glued to my tv when it does take place, because since it will obviously be done during November sweeps, it will surely become the crescendo of this story line, and possibly the entrance into a new story. I’m absolutely in love with DOOL right now.
Incidentally, does anyone think that PM (Austin) looks like he could be a member of the Swayze family? He does to me.

Participantwhether they were in-house counsel, or an outside law firm, if Basic Black and John, individually, have been the legal team in place for years, as Marlena stated, I don’t believe they can just pick up their legal briefs and quit without first petitioning the court to have themselves removed (and they have to persuade the court that their reasoning are sound) and that they may have been deliberately misled, lied to, had information withheld by their client, and that does not seem to be the case here if he has been with this legal team for years, as stated. Like John said, this had to be done by someone with a great deal of power; someone who has the law in his/per pocket and could act this quickly to have John’s legal team removed.

ParticipantTruthfully, I think the whole thing with Brady ignoring John is personal. Did it have something to do with when Sami (as Stan) got John hooked on drugs again; was it because Brady was addicted to drugs and John wasn’t there to help; was it a grudge Brady is holding because of Brady’s mother — does he blame John for Isabella’s death? Just some things I’m having trouble linking to this complete ignorance and seemingly contempt Brady has for John right now. Or, was it something more recent, closer to what happened right before John and Marlena left, that I’m not recalling? In any event, why is Brady not coming to John’s aid now, and why is he being so completely uncaring about John’s legal problems? I’m just not recalling their prior father/son relationship.

Participantbefore Philip cut his hair. It looks dirty and stringy and just about as unattractive as a man’s hair can look. Hair and make-up …. please give Jack a short haircut and a bottle of shampoo. MA does seem a bit on the thin side, and his sharp features under that messy hair tends to make him look ill to me. Of course, that’s probably the intention for right now. Guess he is supposed to look weary and haggard knowing his family does not forgive him, and that they may have even moved on.

ParticipantI think it would be a natural assumption for everyone to think it would be the DiMeras behind John’s problems, but honestly I hope it’s not. I want a real head-shaker here and, when it finally is solved, I want to be thinking…..’wow…. I never saw that coming.’ This story line is fascinating to me, especially since it’s a real-life issue that we’ve recently seen on the news (Bernie Madoff). All I know is that right now I’m enjoying it too much to have it end too quickly. Now there’s something new I never thought I’d hear myself say. True, I would not want story lines dragged out until I’m sick to death of them, but these new writers and their stories, at least so far, are definitely holding my interest much longer than many who have gone before them.

ParticipantBrothers and Sisters, where he played the homosexual brother to Kitty’s (Calista Lockhart (sp?)) US Senator husband (Rob Lowe); and also Moonlight, a sexy vampire series where Eric was some sort of Assistant D.A. or something like that. Then he had that hot commercial with Brittany Spears where Eric was on one side of the door and Brittany was on the other side. I think it was for her perfume, Curious, or something close to that name. Anyway, it was so sensual and romantic, it made you want to go out and buy the perfume.

Participantgood to have that feature. You can find practically anything you missed there. I don’t usually watch CSI-Miami, so thanks for telling us about it. With those two (Beemer and Winter) in any show together, it’s worth the search to find if you missed it.
Patti
ParticipantI loved Eric Winter as Rex, and I’m crazy about the Beemer as well. Anyone know if they will repeat it, if it was a premier?
Patti
Participantso I would not expect them to be derogatory. I just don’t see what daytime television needs with another food program when there are so many on already, so I’ll just sit back and see how long it lasts.

Participantit’s about time Kate had a worthy opponent, and I think Madison will give as good as she gets. The last remark from Madison about sending Kate her new anti-aging wrinkle cream about cracked me up. So she must have called her assistant to get the dirt, if any, in an attempt to bring Madison down. I have a feeling she’ll be fighting an uphill battle with this one, though. Right now, I’m loving Madison – so I say let the games begin.

ParticipantI think the triangle between Dan/Jen/Jack will be an interesting watch. Jennifer looked so conflicted today. She knew how upset she and Abbey have been since Jack returned, and she wanted to protect her daughter, but you could also see how hurt she was for Jack when Abbey was blasting him (which I thought he deserved). And certainly she and Daniel still have strong feelings for one another. I think this will be a relatively well acted, almost heartbreaking performance for the three of them, and not easily solved. In any case I don’t think I’m going to mind this triangle, but no more, writers, please.

ParticipantI prefer their hair down, but I loved Madison’s hair as well. Plus, did you notice that everyone had on different colors today? It wasn’t like a while back, where we had an all blue day, or an all purple day. I hated those one color days. As much as she grates on my last nerve, I even thought Melanie looked exceptionally cute today.
Patti
Participantand, for me, she was completely justified for lashing out at her father. Sometimes some things just need to be said….right, wrong or otherwise. Jack didn’t respect his family when he walked out on them, and to Abbey and Jen he left them, with no further word from him in over a year. The mess he got himself into in Afghanistan was of his own doing, and the result of his predicament has now cost him dearly. Like Abbey had to remind him, how many times has Jack pulled this disappearing act on them in the past. I think she was just so fed up with him doing this to them that she finally reached the point where she had to let go, and if it wakes him up, then I applaud her. She’s not a child any longer. Respect is a two way street. It has to be earned before it can be given.
