ParticipantMany, many gays try for a long time to lead a straight life. I have a friend who was married for 19 years and had two kids before he finally threw in the towel and told his wife he was gay, and he was well aware of it since he was quite young. The funny thing is that he now has a life partner yet he and his ex-wife are still very good friends.
I think it makes a lot of sense to make T gay. His complete homophobia could certainly be a tell-tale sign that he’s struggling with himself and his own sexuality. I hope the writers decide to go that way.

ParticipantFirst of all, an addict doesn’t have (or use) much reasoning power. She was in pain and relief was right there in her hand. What difference did it make if she took them, she was on her way to rehab anyway. I just hope they ask her when was the last time she "used."
I’m not sure about this but I believe you lose your license if you become drug addicted. Not only that, she was stealing drugs from the hospital too. That should also count towards a license being revoked. I hope they don’t try to tell us that because she is such a good and beloved doctor there that they will overlook everything.

Participantbecause her mother certainly didn’t have any money to send her to college, she was barely making a living as it was. So where did Taylor get the money to get such a fancy education. Brady made a comment once about "all her degrees" so she must have more than one. That’s a lot of dough these days…even state colleges are getting outrageous.
I read the other day that one year at Harvard is now $48,000!!! ONE YEAR! My twin g.daughters are at Santa Clara U. in CA and believe me, THAT one is expensive (with law school coming up next year). It’s a good thing my son makes a good living because I sure couldn’t help out at that price. Then add books, room, and board. Good Lord, how are kids supposed to get an education. (Sorry about going off on a tangent.)

ParticipantSomeone on my last newsgroup said this years ago but it really struck me yesterday watching Kate. She said she looks like she had dental cotton rolls implanted in her lips. :o) Check it out. Her lips only have fullness right in front but nothing on the sides. It makes me wonder…injections or no? If yes, I hope she never goes back to that doctor.

Participantdon’t these people just walk away from these idiots when they go on a diatribe like Kate did today? Same thing with Carly and Viv. But, nooooo, they just stay there and take the abuse. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Participantthey were actually trying to keep this secret, therefore the denial of her appearance. However, it also seems to me that they’d want to publicize it as much as possible to get as many people to watch as they can. But then, I’m not a TV executive so what do I know? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. But I sure hope it’s true.

ParticipantChad being shot was very good also. And Carly’s return to her family. Also the conversation between Stefano and Victor.

ParticipantI won’t miss him at all. I still can’t get past his crossed eyes look. And his character does nothing for me at all. I have nothing against his acting, just don’t care for him.

Participantsays definitely not true. Too bad. That’d be cool. I know their relationship has been "strained" in the past but I thought they had pretty much mended things.

Participantwho have come and gone over the years, I’m sure it would be impossible to keep referring to them. But you’d think a main character’s mother would at least be mentioned when she goes through some of the major events Sami has experienced. I agree, how hard would it be just to make a referrence to them?
But then, there possibly could be something in contracts that obligate them to pay a character if they are mentioned. Who knows!

Participanta normal woman in that dress. When she entered, I thought, OMG, is that really Kate? :o) And she rarely wears dresses, it’s usually separates.
I guess that garb they usually put her is has become somewhat of a signature for her so it may be her own personal style also. Who knows. When you constantly wear a blue streak in your hair, paint your nails neon lime green with an index finger painted a different color, I guess the ornamentation she wears isn’t really that outlandish after all.

Participantthey have to be able to do triple duty. :o)

ParticipantI agree with everything you said.
I started wondering why Dmitri only shot Chad in the arm and I then decided that maybe the order was NOT shoot to kill but only to send a message that the Dimera’s were vulnerable. It would certainly make me feel better about Brady if the intent was not to kill a Dimera but only to shake them up.
And, yes, Casey did an amazing job. You could see he was very stunned and disoriented and reacted how I thought (never been shot so don’t know for sure) was very realistic.
As to Viv, when she saw Quinn talking to Carly, could she see it was actually Carly? I couldn’t tell.

Participantwas vary valid years ago but tattooing has come into the mainstream and I think you don’t have to be so careful nowdays. Sure, there’s probably still the few who don’t take precautions or care but, on the whole, if they have a decent shop, have been there for a while and seem to have a good clientelle, I think you can feel safe. Ask them how long they’ve been tattooing, what’s the worst problem they’ve ever had, and anything else you want to know.
I found that it was pretty much as they show on LA Ink and what used to be Miami Ink on TV. What I didn’t know is that you have to stay out of water (showers don’t count) for two weeks, it scabs over, gets milky and eventually the top layer of skin peels off. Also, it’ll fade if exposed to sun a lot. They gave me a salve to put on 4 – 5 times a day for the first two weeks. Other than that, no surprises.
As far a needles go, they don’t reuse them anymore. You get a new, hermetically sealed needle now. I wouldn’t worry about HIV because you are not cross-contaminated with anybody else.
My fairy is about 3 x 4" and took about an hour to do. I got prices from $100 to $150 for it. I really expected more so was surprised at this price. It may have been less because it was done at the expo so there was a lot of competition but you can always shop around too. Shops tend to accumulate near each other so it shouldn’t be hard to do.
But I agree completely with Pammy when she says make sure you get what you want and will be happy with where it is, what it is, and remember that you’re going to have it for the rest of your life. They don’t come off easily…if at ALL.
So, now, go for it if that’s what you really want. I know I’m going to get a lot of flak from my friends but I really don’t care because it’s what I wanted and I’m the one that will live with it.

ParticipantHowever, I thought my eyeliner was more painful. The foot one was pretty uncomfortable at first but after a while it wasn’t so bad. It’s kind of tender today when I put my shoe on but I guess that’s to be expected. Like Pammy said, if you’ve had kids, this is a piece of cake.
Don’t wait as long as I did if you’ve truly decided that’s what you want. They are no longer just things on bikers, doctors and lawyers (and grandmans!) have them now. They don’t carry the stigma they used to.
My feeling is if you’re going to have one, it should be where people can see it otherwise why bother. JMO though.
