There’s a lost of things I want to mention that really make me feel like screaming.
Why does everybody hang out at the pier and the area where Brady and E.J. met for their showdown. They are all sitting ducks for the DiMeara’s and Kiriakis’s. Yet they flock to that area. Really stupid writing. I thought there were new writers. Same old thing.
Kate – She must have put her lipstick on today without a mirror. She is a despicable woman. CONTROL is all she knows. I loved it when Chad told her she wasn’t immune from being in danger. (That wasn’t his exact words.)
Carly – What can I say. She’s playing her pitiful pearl act. She should not be allowed to be on staff again at the hospital. Has it been revealed that she stole the drugs from the hospital. I reckon she can get by with anything. She killed, she broke in Bo’s house, she messed with the test results of Chloe’s baby she stole drugs. Oh, but she’s supposed to be a wonderful doctor. Phooey. Any good actress could play a drug addict with the right storyline.
Taylor – Please give us a break. She is a parasite. She just won’t go away.
Melanie – She really gets on my nerves. She is all over the place too, going off on people and getting in their faces. She thinks she knows everything. She needs to grow up. Who dresses her – those short shorts and skirts look tacky.
I know this all sounds negative, but I just had to get it off my chest.
of what you say. I just cannot stand this altogether annoying Taylor. From day to day she’s off and on with EJ. Zero chemistry and this “romance” was all a contrived fraud.
Kate – why do they continue this same worn, tired path with her? Why can’t they get her in some high position where she can wheel and deal in financial areas instead of this jr high plotting to get rid of Abby?
Even Nicole is bugging me with her revolving door relationship w/Brady. Come on Days, let’s see something new here. Hopefully with the returnees.
The pier thing is overdone, but I’m thinking it’s due to $. Still wondering how Days, when they couldn’t afford J&M and all the other staple characters not long ago can be bringing them all back in hoardes.I wanted to scream at the TV yesterday at both Kate and Vivian. It irks me to no end to listen to Kate – Stephano will die if Chad leaves – he’s already dying – his heart is broken. Kate acts like she’s been married into the DiMera family her entire life. She conveniently forgets that she was forced to marry Stephano. So glad Chad stood up to her.
Vivian – vile, vindictive and getting on my last nerve. I guess that’s a sign of a good actress when they can pull off their part so well, but I really, really hate the Vivian character. Can’t figure out where they are taking Quinn. Good? Bad?
I really wish the Taylor character would go soon. Make up your mind! Then they write in that bit about her knowing Quinn in a past life. What field did that come out of? "They" always say it’s a small world, but in Salem that’s really true. You can come from anywhere in the world and by golly, there’s someone in Salem you know.
Why would Melanie have contacts at a rehab center? She’s been a nurse for how long? Why would Viv know to show up at the hospital? Lame.
Where are the little kids? How many sleepovers can children be invited to?
So here’s a couple positives to go with my negatives – Love all the Victor and Maggie scenes. Really like Chad & Abby together and also Will and Gabby.
Someone on my last newsgroup said this years ago but it really struck me yesterday watching Kate. She said she looks like she had dental cotton rolls implanted in her lips. :o) Check it out. Her lips only have fullness right in front but nothing on the sides. It makes me wonder…injections or no? If yes, I hope she never goes back to that doctor.
I noticed today she is still listed as writer, so maybe change is still coming. I had pretty much tuned out this winter. After 30 years, I even took it off my DVR schedule. But the scenes with Maggie and Victor have drawn me in and the show is back in my DVR line up. I am also enjoying Chad and Sonny as they deal with their legacies. Kate is way over the top, I fast forward through her. And Taylor- just GO. I do like Melanie, she does go off on people, but she means well and considers what is said to her, I think she is pretty appropriate for her age, thinks she knows it all, but she has a good heart which not the case with either Kate and Taylor!
I turned off DOOL after 20 years this last spring…something I thought I never would stop watching the show in a million-zillion years being the fan that I was. I thought I would need a 12-step program to ever stop watching. I was living in fear that DOOL would be canceled before I passed away in (hopefully) my old-old age…yet worried, that I would outlive the finale of the show and I’d never see the end of Days…
I’ve often wondered what could make us rabid fans sit through JER’s story lines (as we did) and a lot of the just plain weird stuff, (the twins from the space ship (oops almost spelled that last word wrong), or the Garden of Eden, etc…Yet, one day we (many of us) finally reach the proverbial "last straw" and stop watching and DVRing.
I’m excited about this fall and all the changes and my J&M returning, I’m just shocked still to this day that I just couldn’t stand the BS anymore. I think EJ (disclaimer – he was a biggie favorite of mine), and Taylor was the end for me…that and what they propose or proposed with Will’s SL. I really miss Maggie and Victor, yet I still can’t let myself be drawn back in when I read what’s going on and the discord that the show is sometimes causing other "rabid" die-hard fans…so for now, I’ll just "listen" to the show vicarously through you all.
