I am enjoying the fast pace the show has taken but how can they keep this up? I mean they can not keep shooting one another etc.
this coming week, when Dimitri shoots Chad on Brady’s "GO" order. So, Stefano, where was your protection for your son that you promised, huh? Brady is out of control, and needs to be stopped. I hope once Victor hears about it, he will take care of Brady by putting his foot squarely up Brady’s a$$. I’m getting so sick of Brady Black. Maybe once John returns, he’ll turn him around.
Ooh!!! Now that is a GOOD idea!! John will surely put Brady in his place! I can’t wait for John and marlena to come back!! I wonder if they will bring back Johns company, what was it called? I wonder what job Sami will be applying for.
In the Days Ahead for Monday it says that Stefano goes to the hospital when he hears about Chad. He finds out Victor is still at Maggie’s side and he goes to him and says they need to stop.
Both sides agreeing to a truce might be the way to keep any of them out of jail but I’m just wondering if Victor will agre and then Brady will go rogue on him. Then it will be Victor, Bo and John trying to keep Brady out of jail.
I forgot Brady was John’s son…….a senior moment I guess but yes Brady being so out of control does give John a reason to come back to Salem. Can’t wait to see John and Marlena and hope they do have a good story line.
Marlena did not come back when her "grand-daughter" (Grace) passed away – Sami needed her. Or when Sydney (her actual grand-daughter) was kidnapped and presumed dead (per EJ) – Sami needed her. Nor was Marlena present for Sami’s latest wedding to Rafe – perhaps Sami didn’t care by then. Marlena didn’t come back to Salem when her friend Mickey passed away. I can see John not returning as he was/is "recouperating and may have not been able to travel at the time" – but Marlena should have been written into the script for a day with the Sydney story at least. I’m not getting down on my favorites J&M at all, I’m just saying both have been absent (writers’ fault) in a lot of their children’s lives in the past two (or is it three now) years.
I don’t agree that it’s the writers fault. We don’t know if the writers didn’t write them in or if the actors refused to come back short term. I do think the writers should have at least made mention of them, they could have had mention that Marlena called Sami during those times, had her call Maggie when Mickey died or done something to acknowledge that her and John cared.

A "fake" one sided phone call from the characters would have been a nice touch for us fans – that’s why I blame the writers for a missed opportunity in a very difficult year for Sami and a congrat’s phone call from her "mom" at her wedding would have taken very little time and moved the story along in a positive way.
They could have at least mentioned them. They could have Sami say, "Too bad mom had to leave before the wedding but it was nice of her to come by and congratulate us before she had to get back to John." A simple implied offscreen visit would have been all it took. Bad writing.
I wonder if they did not keep them in the story line because they thought they would never return. I think it is a surprise that they are coming back after reading Diedra Hall’s story in Soap O Digest. Shoot Bo and Hope don’t ever mention Shawn D. and wonder if they will bring up Bell now?
I can understand Marlena not being at Sami’s wedding since it was spur of the moment and a surprise to even Sami but she could have called or something.
who have come and gone over the years, I’m sure it would be impossible to keep referring to them. But you’d think a main character’s mother would at least be mentioned when she goes through some of the major events Sami has experienced. I agree, how hard would it be just to make a referrence to them?
But then, there possibly could be something in contracts that obligate them to pay a character if they are mentioned. Who knows!
