Participantall (most) been saying the same exact thing that you said about Sami. I don’t want her to end up with Rafe. He’s too nice a guy to put up with her shinnanigens. I am surprised he has this long.
I’d rather have her end up with EJ because those two are a pair match made in heaven (or the other place depending on your point of view). And I’m not saying this because I am an EJ/Sami fan.
I’ve watched Sami for years now…she will never be happy with anyone; I would hate for her to ruin another nice guy like Rafe. Let someone new come on the scene so he can have a "happily ever-after" story, but not with Sami. And I love Sami – because of her antics – it’s just difficult to explain how I love/hate her at times.

Participantout this past week: I can see already changes with this upcoming heath care thing – my doctor had to go to a seminar on Thursday and Friday regarding electronic health files – I discussed it with her when I saw her on Wednesday afternoon.
She told me that the government can request any medical files on anyone from any doctor at any time and that if the doctor does not comply by sending files within an hour – the fines to the doctor will start. They can send a doctor a request for any patient who say is for example obese, diabetic, or has heart issues, etc., so if say the doctor has five hundred patients, and 30% of them have any of the issues requested by the government, the doctor has to send the files on these patients.
So I see this as (and if no one else does, read history), it’s just a matter of time before they (government) will deny care for patients that cost more than they are "worth". And if the doctor is not up on the electronic files for their patients, the doctor can/will be fined a very large amount of money so doctor’s are hard pressed to fight this too. The government is funding all mandatory electronic file transfers with computers, training, etc., for the medical records. BIG BROTHER is here! And there is nothing anyone can say to convince me otherwise – when the sacred bond of doctor – patient confidentiality is broken by the government – we are screwed.

Participantyou open the subject up? I don’t log out, I just switch back and forth between web sites that I happen to be surfin’ at the time.
Me too! I always say the same thing "Oh boy! – Something new to read" I wonder if the new folks go all the way back to the begining of the posts to read them?
Sometimes I even go back on certain subjects (like EJ and Sami) to remind myself of what we’ve commented on throughout the story lines – the most often used comment from all of us I think is "OH NO – not again!".

ParticipantStephanie is not redeemable as a character…I had to suffer through "the closet" scene a few minutes ago when I was catching up with Friday’s show…normally, I wouldn’t give her the time of day, but had to see where the scene was going – I was hoping against hope that she’d get nailed in there by Phillip, Daniel, and Chole.

Participantdisposition, but him as a real strong guy I could depend on in a crisis I say NO way! Man up Brady – Man up! First Chole turns him into a druggie and now Nicole turns him in to a girly-man.

Participantyour description of Stephanie, no dimension in the character, a "one-trick pony" was excellent! And Patti couldn’t have said it better either – Stephanie isn’t an interesting enough character to care about. Thank you ladies for articulating so much more eloquently what I have said about Stephanie "I just FF’d through her scenes because I can’t stand her". There are a few characters I don’t like, but I watch them, Stephanie’s character is unwatchable and predicatable.

Participantin Salem…get caught for kidnapping and spend about six weeks in the pokey (Nicole)…(and I have a great respect for the law), but Salem is the one place that let’s people go free or not be prosecuted for everything and anything: Kate, Nicole, Sami, Stephano, EJ, Nick, Dr. Baker and the list goes on and on and on…

ParticipantStephanie is in I FF through. I may have to watch her now while she blows up Chole and Phillip little "perfect" worlds, but I will watch with relish as Mel gravitates toward Nathan.
I haven’t cared for the Stephanie character since day one…she doesn’t mature or change or do "much of anything else" except for the same ol’ "I need a man" story – at least Sami (who hasn’t matured either in the last upteen years), is interesting in her story lines. (No disrespect to the actress who plays Stephanie, just can’t bring myself to like or care for the character of Stephanie as they write her).

Participanta "fake" visit, even I would buy that more so than just not mentioning and ignoring his existence (Shawn D) at all…He flew in quickly, without Belle and Claire, to see his Mom and offer her support and had to hurry to get back to them as they were waiting in a port somewhere, (prefaced on they are still sailing around the world). Abe pulled some strings so she could have a longer visit than ten minutes. Yep, (I’d probably gritch at that senario), but I would still buy it…
