It’s been at least two Christmas’s or so ago that I remember (and my memory is not good) seeing Alice Horton at the Christmas tree ornament party…I think for the past few years they’ve written the story line that she’s been up stairs resting. Not sure how Frances is doing, last I read on a web site, her health was frail, but her BD is 12/09/09 – I think she’ll be about 94 or 95 this year. Wonderful actress!

I said the same thing to a friend of mine (Linda) just last week when "Auntie Viv" reappeared. Ivan was great pairing with Viv. Maybe they aren’t bringing him back because Viv is suppose to join ranks with Victor to go against Carley and Stephano. I’m sure Kate will be in the mix somewhere too. I’m just so glad we have Viv as another villan, keeps things interesting. Is there spell check on this? I really need a spell checker!
I totally disliked Melanie when she first came on…FF’d through hours of the show then…but now she’s kind of grown on me ~ and I’m more Marlena’s and Hope’s age group – I think that Phillip and Mel are a match made in perverbial Day’s heaven if they are given a chance to develop together sort of like the early Bo and Hope. Bo is older than Hope so Phillip isn’t too old for Mel really.
