Can’t Teresa be sent back to California. She is so despicable and disgusting. I don’t know how Shane and Kim couldn’t control her. Were they helpless to do anything or did they threw up their hands and quit trying. I can see how she would drive them crazy.
It’s a shame the bullet didn’t hit her(Teresa). I know that was a ugly thing to say. But she is the most annoying person I have ever seen.
but I sure as heck do with Theresa. There is nothing to root for with this character. I do not understand why she is even on this show. We have enough villains without having to deal with this hopeless case. And Brady’s not far behind her on my hit list. John needs to give up on this 40 year old loser and let him learn his lessons the hard way. Theresa will destroy him, and hopefully in the process they (Theresa and Brady) will destroy each other. I don’t know what it’s going to take for Brady to see that this girl is bad news.
I do have some sympathy for Brady in one area and that’s Daddy always calling him “Kid.” I find it and John’s tone very patronizing. Is this what we’ve been reduced to – John’s tiresome one trick pony appearances of badgering his son – even if he has his best interests at heart?
It’s unfortunant that the writers can’t give John something to do besides have brief disagreements with Brady and Marlena. Marlena said today that there was nothing left for John in Salem. From a writing stanpoint the character is correct. I guess the writer’s may have been giving us a clue on John’s future. Hopefully when Kristin returns John will be part of the plot. It is "summer in Salem" so that means more young character time.
the writers don’t like? It goes way back to when he and Marlena left and hasn’t the witing team changed a couple times since? This was the staple of Days – John and Marlena. It’s not like they’ve significantly aged or can no longer be interesting together . And if the writers don’t like him why bother having him at all for these token, meaningless appearances? How does Corday feel about hiim?
John has been reduced to a caricature of himself who only shows up every so often to give Brady a reason to go back to drinking and to Theresa.
You are right Casey, he is almost antagonistic when he speaks to Brady. He leans on the door frame and in a tone that is almost smug utters “Hey Kid.” Brady gets all teed off and then boom, back to bad behavior. BORING. If the writers want Brady to be an alcoholic, brain-dead always picking the worst women kind of guy they don’t need to use John to promote his behavior. Let him be what he is and get on with it.
And as for John and Marlena as a couple I feel that ship has sailed. I couldn’t believe that John looked almost shocked when Marlena told him to get a clue and move out of Salem.but it’s not like John’s not been calling Brady “kid” forever, though. More like a force of habit or nickname to me, like the way he always calls Marlena “Doc”, so I don’t mind that so much as I do John continuing to attempt to show Brady the way to end his heartache from Kristen when he (John) was part of the cause that his son has this problem and is the way he is now toward John’s attempt to ‘make it all better’. Same goes for Marlena. I can’t fault her treatment of John since he was so unwilling to share his plan to take down Kristen all by himself, allowing Marlena to think whatever she wanted to about it. Of course, the fault all lies with the writers. For some reason, and I can’t begin to imagine why, these writers have no interest in writing for the DH’s, and that bugs the hell out of me.
