This is getting ridiculous how they’re making him act. How stupid was that today how he practically raped her. I can’t imagine a man acting like that because he found out he’d been lied to. Again I ask…what are those writers smoking
BTW, did anybody else notice how obvious it was that Brady had been wearing a wedding ring because of the tan line where he took it off? Ya need a little hand make-up there dude.
I’ll go even further in saying I found that scene not only distasteful but bordering on irresponsible. Rough sex is not something I want to view on daytime tv and to have Nicole merely call it “intense” is an insult to women. To have Brady display his anger with that kind of acting out is downright exploitive to me and I say shame on you Days!
What kind of writing staff do we have here and Captain of the ship, Ken Corday, I hold you responsible.he’s shown how weak he is by believing in Nicole when everybody else tried to tell him he was wrong to do so. It was purely better, for him I suppose, to have rough, angry, and final sex with her than to totally beat the *hit out of her, which is what I’m guessing he really wanted to do. So, what happens as a result of her being caught again? Two things: 1) she will attempt to lie her way out of being caught; and 2) she seemed to love every minute of it, that’s for sure. Admittedly, though, it was disturbing to watch.
Well, I wouldn’t call what happened in that scene borderline rape! But it was definitely PATHETIC, if you ask me! What was the real purpose of the writers having him engage in sexual intercourse with her, when he was really angry with her?! I don’t think ANYONE – who finds out that someone who they trusted, has lied …AGAIN to them – would want to even touch ’em, let alone engage in sexual "healing" with ’em! Geesh! I almost vomitted watching that scene. There was nothing romantic about it! Brady looked very evil during the entire thing, and Nicole just went with the flow. smh.
Oh well…
We are not prudes, however, we choose not to have this kind of display on "our" show – and I think it is our show as we tune in to it for years, if not decades, so the PTB ought to listen to what the viewers want to watch. Stop this Mr. Corday, you are not being cool and edgy with this type of scene, you are being disparaging to your audience.
PS – Did it occur to anyone else that the reason they had Brady act "weirdly" with Nicole – that perhaps she will get pregnant with Brady’s kid? I know. I know. She already had her miracle baby but I’m trying to see the deviousness in the writer’s for portraying Brady’s actions in the scene…goes way against his grain – Plus he said that "hope she enjoyed it (or something like that) because they would never be together again". What else would tie them together other than Brady’s normal actions of being a whimp for Nicole or a baby?
as they seem to be aging the other characters on the show – especially the teens which could only indicate, they want to create more new ones! Chloe being pregnant, won’t be long before someone else will be too! Brady and Phil are both blood Kiriakis’s. So who on the Brady/Dimera side will have a baby to promote the next generation? hmmm Or will they leave Sami’s twins and Cierra to do it?
…you know exactly why he did what he did and what’s happening.
Although I like the idea of her getting pregnant, it’s just too far out there with all we’ve been subjected to go along that line lately. If we are to believe what we hear, we should NEVER believe anything that comes out of that hospital or those doctor’s mouths.
and who’s the daddy and switching lab results. Yes, I know the baby thing has been a staple on soaps from day one, but the laziness/lack of creativity of this kind of repetitive story is dragging down Days for me.
