iconic entertainer extraordinaire, Prince, dead at age 57.  News channels and Social media blowing up the airwaves.  Not since the death of the late, great Michael Jackson have I seen anything this huge in the music industry.  Sadly, Prince’s cause of death has not yet been announced, but it was reported by his publicist that he has been ill over the last several weeks and battling the flu, and was recently hospitalized last week but released after 3 hours.  Another music legend leaves the world and his fans behind….may he rest in peace.

I was about 19 years old when his first hit "I Want To Be Your Lover" came out.  Prince’s music was a huge part of my young adult years.  The love of my life and met when 1999 was out and Prince’s videos were in heavy rotation on MTV. So many memories…  RIP Prince.  They keep referring to you as a pop star, but you were a musical genius.

I loved his music even though I wasn’t a superfan. But it came so abruptly and shockingly – another talent lost way too young.

don’t let it be drugs. He was so against them it would be a travesty if it turned out he was a user.

Which doesn’t surprise me because of the energy he puts into his performances.  It’s been reported there was talk of him having to have hip replacements.  Unfortunately this may be a case of prescription drugs.  But no way he was a street drug abuser.

recently and was performing. You can’t just drag yourself through illness and pour out all that energy like you did when you were 20. When I heard he was 57 it almost came as a shock. I always think of Prince as a young guy.
