would be more concerned about who switched the paternity test than she would about why her daughter cares so much about a couple she should have no concern over. Maybe Nathan switched the test first, and then it was switched back again by someone else, and Dan really will be the daddy. All in all, I think by the time this mystery is solved, Stephanie will have hung herself where her and Nathan are concerned, so hopefully when Kayla leaves, she’ll take Stephanie with her.
Nathan would want to be with Mel…so it’s a win-win and his "bad" side has yet to come out on the show (and you know every character pretty much has that side).
Carly would be "protecting" Chloe, although, why the "he _ _" she wants to be friends with Chloe except for the possibilitly that she has no female friends in Salem.
Yes, Daniel would be a complete surprise to me, unless I’m not thinking in the big picture…why would he want Phillip’s kid to raise and if it’s his (Dan’s) he wouldn’t care…If it turns out to be Phillips kid, (which I don’t see the truth coming out any time soon)…Dan will probably end up with Carly…(unless Vivy buries her again along side with Maggie)…
have been Victor who did the switch. Knowing it was Phillip’s baby and not wanting Phillip to be attached to Chloe for life. That would be a surprise.
I could see the possiblity of Daniel doing the switch to protect Melanie but why he’d want to stay with Chloe is what’s confusing there.
I think he might have known, or they are alluding to that anyhow because when they told him and he immediately asked "is it Daniel’s?" I think that was to get a reaction out of Chloe, he covered it up and then goaded Daniel later, asking him, "but why do you think she’s so jumpy? She said she has everything she ever wanted." So I think he knows.

Carly could be doing it because she feels guilty over robbing him of his chance to be father and she was involved (due to Vivian) with Chloe going to Philip in the first place. If she wasn’t hovering around Daniel all the time, she would not have had an affair with the guy whose sperm seems to only work with those that he’s not married to!
especially Stefano finding out that Chad is his son. This, too, will be a huge storyline when E.J. begins to recover (and we all know he will). Ari getting run over by a car …. is this her exit storyline …. killing her off? I think the writers missed the boat here, because it was obvious she was getting a little more than interested in E.J., and that would have been a really good story to unfold, being as how she is Rafe’s sister, the man who put him in the situation he is in today, because I think Ari being involvedwith E.J. would have blown Rafe’s mind. If Rafe quits the FBI, it’s evident to me that he’ll wind up on the Salem P.D., and that might be interesting down the road. A smart cop in Salem …. unthinkable. Brady and Nicole …. together again??? And part of a Vivian storyline …. could be fun to watch seeing as how Brady hates Vivian and Nicole loves Brady and would do anything for him. I’ll be interested in seeing where this goes. And, finally, Melanie learning Chloe cheated on Daniel is bound to be explosive, seeing as how Melanie has the most to gain from this. I see this as the beginning story of Daniel and Carly reuniting, as well as Mel and Nathan. Good stuff coming up if the writers can pull it off without too much boredom.
Just how many people know that it was Philip she slept with? Remember, the test ONLY said whether or not Daniel was the father, they only had his DNA so it wouldn’t have said it was Philip. That’s why I can’t understand Stephanies grief.
Next, how did all these hackers get into the file when Chloe had used an alias that only Carly knew?
Stephanie was hiding in the closet at Chloe and Daniels and overheard Chloe and Phillip talking about the one night and the DNA. Even got the alias she used. As far everyone else knowing, I have no idea unless that dimwit nurse at the hospital was talking all over town about the patient mix-up and they could figure it out but it does narrow it down to just Phillip, Stephanie, Ian (he was helping Stephanie) and Carly.
Unless Stephanie, Phillip and Chloe talk in their sleep and Nathan, Melanie and Daniel heard something.
