I think that’s exactly what is killing the show. For some stupid reason the folks running things seem to think that our soap has to compete with them and, therefore, be like them.  I don’t like the word "hate" but I truly do HATE so-called "reality" shows and what they are doing to television entertainment.

The Stefano I saw 20-some years ago was not this shallow. Oh sure, bloodline was important, but conviction was the key. EJ has that conviction and Stefano knows it. And these are the things we are supposed to believe are the reasons why Stefano is hurting so much…EJ had such promise but the blood just isn’t there. Pitiful!

He goes off to take the call then comes back with the news and pretty much just shrugs it all off like a piece of lint. Excuse me??? He’s been touting her praises for how many weeks and then he’s totally unaffected by her dumping.

And Sami is totally transformed into some sort of, I don’t know what to call her, but I just want to yell at Lucas to RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!

I keep hearing folks in "the industry" all say that nice doesn’t sell in soapland. But I strongly disagree. Every show needs a good balance and right now we are not getting balance in our beloved show. Right now everything is either bad or impending bad.

The folks running this show need a few lessons in good old-fashioned soap opera! In other words, a little bit of everything that life throws at us. When you boil it all down…that’s life!

This is why soap operas have survived all these years, throughout all of the different media: theater, radio, film, television and now even on the internet.

but that thing on her shoulder was very distracting. I couldn’t stop thinking it looked like those fake bullet holes people stick on their cars.

I would love to see a character on Days that is shy and withdrawn and still gets by in life.  I don’t see why every character on the show must have drama and stress in his or her life. Why can’t the show have some characters that are quiet and reserved with an occasional minor drama?  I like the idea as a way to balance the show out. I love the issues and all that but when it’s every character in every scene then it’s just too much for me. I need to see some scenes where folks are doing okay. It gives me a chance to breath and helps to bring down my blood pressure.

I read an article in the newspaper a week or two ago that said the climate scientists are predicting that by the end of the century the climate in Illinois will be like present day Texas.

I just get so confused as to how much time passes from show to show so I was thinking that was how the writers are hoping to get away with this.

I’ve been griping at the TV about this "Oh Bo, wake up" thing. I’m so glad I’m not NOT understanding about medically induced comas.

I loved how she kept touching Hope’s hair.

I hope we get to see her and Theo together. They are so good together.

I hear you! I keep saying I’m not going to find any new shows because I can’t keep up with all that I watch now. And yet, here I go again.

The action stuff is the other thing that got me to check this one out. Don’t see too much of that in the serial shows anymore.

And don’t worry about Ashley. She can handle the rough stuff.
