Participantthan Stephanie OR Melanie. Frankly, I’m convinced these writers don’t know how to write a story now without using children in their plots. It’s most discouraging, since no child deserves to be used. They all claim nothing means more to them than their children….their family….yet they continue to destroy the very lives they created on practically a daily basis. Hate her if you must, but I would love to see Sami and Rafe have a child of their own one day, but not at this time. They need to be completely free of E.J. before they start planning (yes, I said PLANNING) a child of their own. Then that should be the end of Sami’s ability to procreate.

ParticipantKate has not only become ‘tolerable,’ but she has softened and I find myself ‘trusting’ her more and more. I can’t say that I trust her completely but I do think she has prioritized her intentions more, and we were reminded of that when she first saw a need to help Chad and Sami, and now again, when she spoke of Curtis taking Austin and Billie. It would be hard for me not to consider that she has always been a damn shrew where family is concerned, especially when it comes to Sami. By the way, zsuzsa, I’m glad to see a fellow poster who has not thrown Sami completely under the bus. It’s time for these writers to give Ali a break and stop defecating on her character. I don’t want to see the old fierce, vindictive Sami return, but a little somewhere between the now and the then would be nice. She and Rafe are ideal together, so don’t mess with that, please.

Participantget pregnant, but Chloe had like a 2% chance – or maybe vice-versa.

Participantif they quit they should just go home with nothing. Instead they should bring back others who have been eliminated but really wanted to be there. This is, I’m sure, grueling on a healthy person, but if you know you have a physical problem like Naonka has (didn’t she admit to having this problem when it gets cold), then she should not have even tried to compete. The weather is so unpredictable in these jungle-type atmospheres that she should have know what her body could and could not take and just passed up the chance. Yeah, I know … it’s hard to turn your back on a chance at $1,000,000.00, especially with someone like Naonka. She thought she could just intimidate people into backing off of her; she didn’t realize that she and her body would become her own worst enemy. Sorry for her pain, but she (or anyone else) does not deserve to be a member of the jury if they quit, IMO.

Participanther and Sami made up, and both seemed genuinely happy to do so. Of course, Carrie may have had a twinge of guilt because of Anna’s part in the Sydnapping. She even apologized to Sami for her mom’s part, even though she (Carrie) had nothing to do with it. I hope that Carrie will be there for Sami in a way no one else has been able to be. I’m also hoping that maybe, just maybe, Carrie’s return will be a precursor to finding Anna, and this whole mess will end, and yes, it is my fondest wish that Sami’s children are returned to her, with her and E.J. sharing custody, but that Nicole will once again have to give up trying to become Sydney’s mother. I’m predicting a new triangle, this time between E.J., Nicole and Brady, who lately I seem to have lost all respect for anyway. It’s way beyond time for both Sami and E.J. to come to the conclusion that their children are better served if both of their parents learn to co-exist as a family, and share the lives of their children, allowing Johnny and Sydney the best of both of their parents, but without the drama of using them as weapons against one another. I’m thinking that by February sweeps, this drama will finally be settled, one way or another.
I love Frances Fisher, and hope she doesn’t cause more problems for Sami. Guess that’s a wait and see, but Sami sure could use a "friend" friend and not just constant dependence on Rafe for everything. No one on this show seems to have a good friend to confide in …. that’s sad to me. That’s why I always liked it when they made Nicole and Sami frenemies instead of the way they are now. Talk about two minds thinking alike ….

ParticipantLK is one of the better actresses on this show. She was fantastic again today. Boy, she can give as good as she gets.

Participantto only respond to Nicole. She’s been shown several times smiling at Nicole, playing with Nicole …. next she’ll be crying for Nicole not to leave, I suppose. Everyone else, including Sami and E.J., might as well be invisible. That’s the problem with child actors who can’t respond to their on-screen family. She certainly should have been directed to run to Sami, or to give a hug to her dearly demented daddy, but this little one, although cute as a button, gets no cigar for even being close to the first Sydney. Heck, she doesn’t even respond to Johnny. I realize they’re trying to give the effect that she is confused and upset over being torn away from her other siblings, but she didn’t respond well to them when they were together either.

Participantmaybe she doesn’t know that it’s Philip … I can’t keep track of who knows what anymore.

Participantnow he’s determined to make Stefano choose between him and Kate under the guise of Kate betraying him, when in fact he only wants to show Stefano that if he doesn’t "take care" of Kate, he will most likely keep Johnny and Sydney away from their grandfather. What did E.J. tell Stefano yesterday…. something like he was ‘growing soft’. Careful, Junior, or you may find yourself on the outside looking in, because idle threats will not sway Stefano and just where would you be without daddy. You’re number one now, but you will soon have to compete with daddy’s new little shining star …. one which I believe he will, in the end, be most grateful to Kate for divulging his new offspring; not angry at her for it.

Participantwho can put Sami in her place. I would much rather see John return if for no other reason but take a stand with his dear nephew, E.J. Remember, John is half DiMera, half Brady (Coleen and Santos’ son – Stefano’s brother). Now that alone is worth all the tea in Salem to look forward to.

ParticipantThank you very much.

Participantin fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if Daniel was Parker’s bio-daddy. The test was switched back and forth so many times, the only way they can be sure is to have it done again, after the secret of the one night stand is revealed, which is supposed to be in a few weeks. Then, Daniel should either do the test himself, with Philip and Chloe both present; or, if a lab tech does it, no one leaves the lab or takes their eyes off the technician until the results are accomplished. That’s the only way I would trust any paternity test done in Salem.

Participantat least she’s finally acknowledging what she has done, through her own bad choices in her life, that her family, especially her children, have suffered from it. Sami didn’t ask for, nor did she want, Will’s participation in any of this; Will insisted on protecting her, as did Rafe. They made a conscious decision to keep her shooting E.J. on the down-low, even though she protested to their implicating themselves in her mess. Now, I’m no huge Sami Brady fan by any means, but I do see a big change in Sami since she met Rafe. No one will ever convince me that she doesn’t love her children. I can’t help but hope that when this is all over and done with, if I’m still alive by then, I would like to see E.J. grow up as well, realize that Sami is not now, nor has she ever been, "in love" with him, and realizes that he has done far worse to her over the years than she has to him, including her shooting him. All 4 of them, which includes Nicole, need to wake up and realize that where Sydney and Johnny are concerned, E.J. is their father and Sami is their mother; they learn to co-parent and co-exist among themselves, and find a way to stop hurting these children with this tug-o-war they put them through every day of their young lives. It makes me sick to watch this crap they go through day after day after day. Move on, both of you jerks, before those children you so vehemently try to make me understand that you are ‘only doing what’s best for them’ are the same children who will one day grow to hate you. At the very least, these writers have to find a way to make me and millions of other fans co-exist with these characters without wishing they were going…going…GONE!

Participantbut all state laws are not the same. If the videotape contains proof of a violent crime, it may be admissible, and attempted murder may fall under that category. However, many states will not allow it if the party being videotaped did not give his/her consent. Also, many states will not allow it in criminal court, but will allow it in civil court. In Sami’s case that would be literally like beating a dead horse, because, as we all know, the person who recorded her is now deceased. However, where E.J. is concerned, if he exposed her confession anywhere else, on the internet, for instance, he could be sued by Sami (I know …. fat chance) if the court disallowed it but he exposed it anyway, say if he made Nicole show it on one of her newscasts, or sent it out across the information highway. On a totally different subject, how in the hell does Nicole still have a job at Titan anyway?

Participantany hints are dropped by Dee. I know she’s there to promote her new cookbook, but the rumor is already spreading that they may be bringing them back, even if only for a short while. You know what that means? Until they see if all the hype really will boost the ratings. BELIEVE ME, IT WILL!
