I know he’s been ill for some time, and they just showed him last week on GH, looking very frail. And, of course, that was probably filmed a month or so ago. Condolences to his family.
I am not a huge Jennifer fan, never have been, but I’m glad, too, that she’s got Nicole’s number. They have turned Nicole into a stalker. It’s not even about protecting her baby anymore; it’s more like she’s so demented and delusional, that she’s convinced herself that Daniel really wants to be with her, even after he’s trying to make her realize that they can not now, nor will they ever be, a couple. So what, now she’s determined to take Jen out of the picture, even going so far as to say, "even if I have to run over Snow White with my car." Good God, woman, go see Marlena now, because it looks like you need her help even more than Sami does, and that’s not an exaggeration …. especially with E.J. plotting her and her child’s future.

Like I said, "any given Sunday," although, if I can make one request, I would asked my beloved birds of purple and black if next week, at the start of the second half, they can make sure that THE FREAKIN’ OFFENSE SHOWS UP. Seriously, Joe! What happened to the "no huddle" offense this week?

for Sami and E.J. I wouldn’t mind them giving E.J. a relationship of his own, as long as it’s not Sami. I know that E.J. has some pretty awful plans in the works, storyline wise, so I guess we will see him welcome his return to the dark side, along with the rest of the DiMeras, …. one big happy family, which will include Kristen and Chad.
I’m not sure if it’s the new writers trying to change the old writers’ path where the storylines are concerned, or if it’s just taking a while for the writers’ new ideas to take shape. Either way, the show is running slow, but I’m still enjoying it all the same. I agree about Gabi and Chad; they have both been at fault for raising my anger to new heights. I see no use for either one of them. And when Nicole is on screen, it’s like watching a lovely rose simply die right before my eyes. I know AZ can do just about anything with anyone, but her present storyline has me furious. I know practically everyone but me, maybe, can see all the reasons in the world to criticize Sami, and most times I can agree, but no one seems to be bothered by the new and ruined Nicole Walker. God, she is pathetic. If any one character is suited for my fast forward button, Nicole is it for me.
I don’t care about the character of E.J. one way or the other; but, when they try to write him as a suitor to Sami or any other person, either James can’t pull it off as an actor, or the role just doesn’t suit him. All this fluff, foo-foo and flowery attitude toward romance just doesn’t work for James. And now with the insults toward Rafe (who might be running a close second in the stupid department behind E.J., I might add) is just a turn-off. Please turn these men back into men, and leave the goo-goo-googly eyes for the twenty-somethings. This is a major character roll, and they way E.J. is being written now is not impressing me …… it’s time for him to turn at least halfway toward being a DiMera.

They’re both pretty vulnerable right now, and it would be crazy to have either one of them show anything more than their shared grief right now. Just bond for now. But, that being said, I did read that Brady will have a new love interest in the fall —- Jennifer??? Now that would be different. Didn’t Jennifer and Isabella have their kids around the same time, though?

Melanie and Trent were talking right near the late Shawn Brady’s grave in the cemetery. Trent had business deal lined up but wanted Melanie to close the deal by having Melanie have sex with the other person in the deal. Melanie and Trent argued and he knocked her down causing her to hit her head on a headstone leaving her dazed. Nick who was hiding in some bushes then killed Trent by stabbing him in the back. Trent fell on Shawn Brady’s grave with a knife sticking out of his back and Nick ran off. A minute or two later Caroline Brady arrived to visit her late husband’s grave and found Trent lying dead. She pulled the knife out of his back because she thought that Max who had threatened Trent had made good on his threat.
Before Caroline could do anything else two uniformed Salem PD cops showed up because someone had reported Melanie screaming during her encounter with Trent. Caroline was arrested by Bo and Hope for murdering Trent because she was found with the murder weapon her hand. Bo and Hope took to the police station in handcuffs where the met Roman who was beyond shocked at the site of Caroline being under arrest.
to complain that Joe Flacco is not an "elite" quarterback this year. Ravens kicked butt tonight (44-13 – sorry Cincinnati fans), and a majority of it was due to the brilliant performance of Joe Flacco. I do have to admit, I have mixed emotions because of Marvin Lewis, our former defensive coordinator and now head coach of the Bengals. He was superb when he was with the Ravens, but it just goes to show that without a great quarterback, well, all I can say is …. Joe is so cool, calm and collected, Andy Dalton …. not so much (tonight anyway). Still love you, Marv, and you’re a great coach, but in your defense, not too many could keep up with the Ravens tonight; way to kick off the season …. LOVE OUR BIRDS, whether they be in purple and black or orange and black!

I see an improvement in Sami more and more each time she is in a scene, whether it be with one of her 3 men, or Marlena, with her relationship with Will, or anyone else right now. I just can see the improvement the writers are taking with Sami, and gradually, not all of a sudden. Unfortunately, those who dislike Sami with the intensity of the heat of a thousand suns are never going to see her any other way than the way they want to see her, because they never will accept her any other way. Too bad, because she’s no better, no worse than any number of women I could mention in Salem.
Other than Sami, I like the way the stories are running, and I love Nick returning. Blake Berris is a terrific actor, and I’m betting his story line will just keep getting better and better. I’m very happy with the writing so far.
