Participantthey deserved the win. They’ve been solid since day one. I had to laugh out loud at Tony’s delight. I think he was even more excited than Melissa. Congrats to all 3 finalists, though. They were all GREAT!

Participantvery touching and completely what I would expect to see when the patient is a TEEN with an unwanted pregnancy, as well as not allowing Will to go in with her, even though he was the one who brought her. Perfectly understandable. They all acted exactly as I would have expected. The examining/procedure room wasn’t all that over top; it looked clean, the instruments looked to be clean and sterilized, and I thought the doctor and nurse were both very professional. They gave Gabi every reassurance and consideration to change her mind if she wanted to. As for Rafe, I don’t think he was stupid at all. It’s perfectly understandable for him to be upset and concerned for Gabi. This is his little sister, who, although it is her decision, is scared, upset, and completely in the dark as to what will happen, since she admitted she’s enver been in this situation before. If the receptionist would have allowed him to talk to Will when he first called the clinic, it would have been an admission on her part that she knew Gabi was there, which would have been a breach of patient confidentiality. What’s so strange about that? Gabi’s information is personal and it was not the receptionist’s place to admit Gabi’s being there. As a matter of fact, it would have been illegal, and the clinic could have been sued for releasing personal medical information to someone who, for all she knew, was not even related to by offering any proof as to who he was. The only way Rafe could have had a leg to stand on is if Gabi was a minor. Neither Rafe nor Sami offered any identification…not that it would have mattered. Gabi may be a teenager, but she is 18 and therefore presumed an adult. I thought the whole situation played out very well, and I felt really sorry for both Gabi and Will. The whole story line still impresses me; but, of course, that’s JMHO.

Participantbut for what reason I have no idea.

Participantthe cancelation of 666 Park Avenue. It was just getting good, but for some reason it was not getting good ratings. Too bad; I love those kind of shows.

Participantand I thoroughly enjoyed seeing everyone, so young. Kristian Alphonso was an absolute beauty….still is. I’d forgotten how damn ugly that headpiece was on Susan’s gown. That one looked more like a costume than all of the others put together. Loved seeing Vivian and Ivan, and a younger Stefano. I just wish Kristen and Marlena would have been active instead of unconscious, just so we could see the stress and hell Kristen put Marlena through. That much would have been very clear to everyone to see why Marlena is so hell-bent on keeping Kristen out of their lives today. All in all, though, I enjoyed everyone pretty much, especially the flying teeth scene.

Participantand Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Salem Place family as well. I, too, am thankful for many many things in my life, and this wonderful board and it’s members are certainly one of them. Gobble Gobble….eat, drink and be thankful to a wonderful group, and bless you all!

Participantcan’t help it; I just like her a lot. I guess it’s because she’s a soap star, and she’s terrific on General Hospital. I did feel bad for Apolo and Karina, but those slips eventually catch up with you, and they’ve made several along the way. Kelly will more than likely be next, though. I just can’t see her beating Shawn or Melissa; but, hey, so far she’s surprised many. Her co-star mom and sister from GH have been in the audience almost every week. Good for them being there for support.

Participantwithout Brady leading Kristen on to believe he is interested in her, all the while faking it to keep her away from John, I’m going to be very sad, because I do not feel I can be interested in a Brady/Kristen coupling for real. I guess the real concern is how John and Marlena will be affected by it. I’d rather see Brady helping Nicole than Kristen.

Participantshe’s blurted it out to Nick as well. Sami, will you ever let me back you up without immediately finding some way to regret it? LOL!

Participantit was wonderful that Will asked Gabi if she wanted to get married; but, it was even more wonderful when Gabi truthfully said that she "loved" Will, but she was "IN love with Nick," so refused his proposal. Good for you, Gabi. This story has so much truth to it where this delicate real life issue is concerned, and everyone is doing a marvelous job. I, too, think that now that Nick knows the truth, he will be asking Gabi to marry him and claim the baby is theirs. Whether or not Will will go along with this is questionable, since so far Sonny is completely in the dark.

Participantthe way I see it, the ONLY mistake Marlena made was not listening to the message before erasing it.

Participantbut rather the real life issues of the storyline. How many unwanted teen pregnancies go unnoticed until it’s too late, and in many instances the mother winds up having the child with no help, resulting in misfortune all around, sometimes even with the child winding up in a dumpster. Even though I know Gabi would never do that, but it happens. She can have the support of everyone and still wind up going off the deep end herself. I credit the writers for taking on a real life problem with the young set, and so far they’re doing a terrific job with it. Couldn’t help noticing, though, that right before going into the room, she said: "God, forgive me." Incidentally, I’m seeing compliments to the writers and the show itself from posters across the boards. You may not be able to please everyone all of the time, but from what I’m seeing so far, the general audience is filled with complimentary posts.

ParticipantThe co-mingling of actors, as well as the pace of the stories, are coming together nicely. I’m starting to enjoy the show more now. I’m loving the Gabi pregnancy storyline, which I originally thought I would hate. Camilla Banus as well as Chandler Massey are doing a great job portraying the angst that comes with an unwanted teen pregnancy. Plus, having Sonny and Nick involved in the cover-up is going to get a lot more interesting in the next few weeks, I’m sure. The Kristen/Marlena/John story is packed with devious plotting by Kristen and you just know sooner or later that Doc will wise up and deal with Kristen in the elegant way Marlena has dealing with psychotics, especially as she sees John and Brady falling into Kristen’s trap. ED is simply wonderful in the role of Kristen, playing the spider welcoming in the flies. Nicole is finally being given a break by these writers and finding Father Eric at this time in her life is just what she needs. I just hope she plays the part of an honest desire for redemption and peace within herself, and not a temptress trying to bed the good Father right off the bat. And Sami, most of all for me, is becoming watchable again in how she is handling everything, including herself …. at least for now. How soon E.J. and Chad will step in and make their moves is something I’m looking forward to as well, especially when Stefano returns. Kudos writers; I’m liking everything I’m seeing at the moment. Waiting now to learn how they are going to bring Caroline home without Bo.
