I think we’re looking at a Mayor Richard J. Daly (Chicago in the ’50s) with EJ here. Really nice guy on the outside but his fingers controlling everything else in the background.
OMG! I could have cried when she burned that beautiful red dress. What a shame. Does that mean she’s supposed to get rid of every single thing she owned during their relationship? And I kind of wonder about someone who maintains a relationship for 18 years and doesn’t get married. I know there are lots of others but I still question it.
Patti, I know you watch other shows so would enjoy seeing other people on it but I hope they stick with Days (or former Days)stars.

John and Marlena were aware of the dangers if they came back to Salem. That means they knew there was an investigation going on. For that, I can’t figure out why the FBI would be involved though because they cannot operate outside the USA.
Maybe they only just became involved when they re-entered the USA. Which makes we wonder where Austin was while he was working on it. Lots of questions here.
Jed Allen was that old. Thanks for looking that up. But I still couldn’t picture him with Caroline after having been married to Marlena.

We’ve spoken many times about the chemestry between these two but thinking back on yesterday, I realized I saw the same thing between Brady and Madison, more on Brady’s part…her, flirting more than anything, but real interest from him. When they were negotiating, you could sure see that chemistry on his face. Oh, boy, I’m so excited.

As with everybody else, tears dripped off my chin when JR danced. I never really paid any attention to the words in Almost There before but, wow, I was really blown away by them, how poignent.
but I can’t help but think a lot of the actions are, maybe not "staged," but certainly embellished to make the show more provacative and interesting, which I think is true of ALL reality shows. Even though, I still like to watch. I guess that’s human nature to want to see our idols acting like real people…or worse!
Boy, Farah sure has a filthy mouth (Kelly too), doesn’t she? It’s one thing to talk like she does off camera but, gee, doesn’t she care what her fans think of her? I know some people don’t think it’s any big deal but there are probably as many (or more) who don’t like it.
His wife was not his patient, she got sick after they were married. And I don’t think there was any love between he and Kate, in fact, IIRC, I think they were only together a couple of times, and to me, they were more like "f***ing buddies." (Sorry to be so crass but no other phrase describes it as well.)
As for Chelsea, I think there was strong attraction but I don’t think it could have actually been called "love" yet.
So that really only leaves Chloe. I think he was kind of portrayed as a swinger when he came to town but I remember him meeting a woman for a date early on where he ended it because he couldn’t forget about his wife. He also turned down an attractive doctor who was pursuing him, so I don’t believe he "got around" as much as people were led to believe.
But then, I really like Daniel (especially with Jen) so, YMMV.
They are everywhere else. I’m sure that snarky cop was one of them. Good God, didn’t you just want to slap his arrogant face?
I know you don’t like the character of EJ and I think it’s coloring your opinion in a major way but I think he could very capably fill Stefano’s shoes as the resident baddie. He’s just a different type of villian than is Joe. In fact, I loved when he told Nicole he wasn’t actually changing for the better but that’s what he wants everybody to believe, or words to that effect. At least he’s being honest with her…surprise, surprise!!!
I don’t think it will be too long before we see Joe enter the status of "recurring" and who can blame the guy if he wants to start cutting down on his working hours. I know we’ll all miss him if/when this occurs.
I’m just so excited about having Nicole working for EJ. We won’t be subjected to all the romantic detrius (although I believe undertones of it will remain) but we will still have them together. I don’t know what it is but when those two are on together (not fighting), I am absolutely mesmerized, they are just soooo good together.
That’s a GREAT idea. Especially hooking him up with Caroline. But is he actually old enough? He was more like Marlena and Roman’s age so not too sure that would work. I could see Maggie but let’s not go there now that she’s engaged to Victor, who is probably way to old for her too. Of course, nobody ever says anything when the man is the older but then the woman is called a "cougar" if she picks a younger guy. "Taint fair, I tell ya.
BTW, Maggie wouldn’t move in with Victor because she didn’t want to leave her home. What’s going to happen to that now? Maybe Maggie is going to do what I’d do if I ever remarried. Maintain two separate households!!!
