Does anyone know why Stefano’s appearances are so spotty? Heall the time. Is Joe ok? seems to be on business trips
less and less of Stefano. E.J. is now determined to run his own life, and I believe from hereon out, he will. Kate is going to be involved with her company, and I feel her story lines are heading more toward the corporate world, and, as much as some would object, I think Stefano will eventually be phased out, and the new DiMera power will be E.J. Story lines involving Stefano seem to be getting down to slim to none, and he seems to have completely handed over the reins to E.J., as evidenced by him giving him the King chess piece, so my guess is that Stefano DiMera will eventually be phased out. If that will be the case, then it’s a mistake as far as I’m concerned, because E.J. (or James Scott, himself), is nowhere the looming villainous presence as Stefano (or Joe Mascolo) is. JMO.
I’m thinking it might be Joe’s decision to work less. He is getting older and I’m sure a bit tired of the daily work hours.
The actor is deciding to be on less forcing them to put EJ as the new one in charge. I don’t know the show really has an option here. I think Stephano is going to end up being like Doug and Julie, where they are on when needed, but no more because of the actors personal choice. You can’t blame the older actors for not wanting to work as much as they did. They should be able to enjoy life and not have to work on a regular basis.
I know you don’t like the character of EJ and I think it’s coloring your opinion in a major way but I think he could very capably fill Stefano’s shoes as the resident baddie. He’s just a different type of villian than is Joe. In fact, I loved when he told Nicole he wasn’t actually changing for the better but that’s what he wants everybody to believe, or words to that effect. At least he’s being honest with her…surprise, surprise!!!
I don’t think it will be too long before we see Joe enter the status of "recurring" and who can blame the guy if he wants to start cutting down on his working hours. I know we’ll all miss him if/when this occurs.
I’m just so excited about having Nicole working for EJ. We won’t be subjected to all the romantic detrius (although I believe undertones of it will remain) but we will still have them together. I don’t know what it is but when those two are on together (not fighting), I am absolutely mesmerized, they are just soooo good together.
resolve to "not be with a man" by the wayside. All you had to do was watch her reaction to EJ yesterday when he offered his proposition for his PR person. She stares into his eyes and melts and becomes this weak, fumbling female. And then, we’ll have to watch that smug, arrogant smile on EJ’s face once again when he gets what he wants without even trying…gag me!
but, I really see more, what shall we call it?, care?…wanting?…lust?…love? from EJ than I do from Nicole. I honestly thinks he still cares for her, I really, really do.
We’ve spoken many times about the chemestry between these two but thinking back on yesterday, I realized I saw the same thing between Brady and Madison, more on Brady’s part…her, flirting more than anything, but real interest from him. When they were negotiating, you could sure see that chemistry on his face. Oh, boy, I’m so excited.
I think EJ really cares for Nicole. He has these moments, looks, glares, that trully show he cares. Then the writers decide to mess with it. I don’t think this will be EJ getting his way, I think it will be more of something good. I think EJ and Nicole are good together and EQUALS. Nicole can handle EJ and EJ likes that, it attracts him to her. That is what he was talkig about, how Nicole sees him for who he is, and I think she still loves him even after seeing all that. It is why I love Rafe with Sami, because all the men in the past wanted her to change, but Rafe sees her for who she is and loves her for that. And because of that she has been able to grow, not change, but grow.
The Brady Madison thing is going to be interesting. To very savvy business people working together and flirting. Loving it so far. Love the Kate battle coming up too and with Sami involved it should be even more interesting.
I have to say the only SL I am not looking foward to is Jen/Dan/Jack, I wish Jack would not have come back. But I also think you need one triangle, it can’t be all business/mystery SLs, you need some romantic battles going on too.
what I see is his knowing that he can manipulate her with the "charismatic" drool that comes out of his mouth and have her as putty in his hand. I’m hoping that the new writers keep the protective shell that Nicole is showing us to avoid having a man running her life like EJ was doing in the past. I’m sure at some point after a period of her holding him off, she’ll succumb to his arrogant control…it happens with every female that EJ sets his eye to. I’m sure it’s pretty easy to read that I absolutely despise the character of EJ.
I guess I am in the minority again because I don’t think EJ truly cares for anyone except himself. To me he is all about image, control and manipulation. He sees Nicole as a means to an end–she knows he is bad so who better than to manage his campaign. He doesn’ have to pretend with her.But it is not love, it is convenience.
As for Brady and Madison, I know that they’re destined to be paired, but I don’t relly see the chemistry that others do. I fine madison to be cold, calculating, and a bit smug. I, for one, am not too keen on this pairing. JMHO
Jack I am tired of and hope they he becomes strong and less of a clown. Not sure who I want to win, cause I don’t really like Daniel’s track record with women.
I still hope that Stefano is part of the show cause he is old school evil and I like him more than EJ.
