I don’t know much about Autism at all – I was listening to Coast-to-Coast radio very late last night on the radio and of course, they had the subject du jour  "Health Care" as their topic.  A father of twin 15 year old boys that both have autism was saying what it medically cost a year for him to raise the children.  The father said that one of the boys has never progressed past children’s "pull-ups" (i.e., potty learning stage), and has to wear a helmet to keep from hurting himself.  The other twin son can verbally communicate on a much more advanced level, can articulate his ideas, goes to a school and is somewhat social; so I guess there are different states of the impairment.  Theo must be in a more advanced phase as he can communicate and is social.

Either that or like you said, the writer’s are moving away from autism for Theo’s character.  It’s really too bad that if that  is what the writer’s are doing and have gotten lazy because it’s too difficult a character to write for as Theo grows up, because it brings Autism in the forefront of dialog and more understanding.

Patti – right on!  Sami was at her greatest as "The Baddddddddd girl"; however, since they’ve tried to redeem her – pairing her up with Rafe ~ her character has just become a whinny little witch!  (Those are the kindest words I could think of).

The writer’s are wasting Alison’s talent!  When she hit the screen when she was 15 (?) and saw John and Marlena on the table in the conf. room – ever since then she was hell-on-wheels and I enjoyed watching her!  In her hehday, she could go toe-toe with Vivian, Victor and Stefano and take them all on!  (All of those folks have become a bit whimpy-whimpy-whimpy of late too).

And when Sami was badddddddd at being good – she complimented EJ!  That’s why I want to see those two together!

one question, I keep asking since I saw the post about Peter (Bo) being off for 30 days is – How come he’s been on the show in the last week?  Is the time off from the show consecutive or not?

Sounds like these folks have had more than their share of bad days – my heart and prayers go out to them.

with zingers lately – Kudo’s to the writers!  Thank goodness I have a DVR – sometimes I can’t believe what the Salem folks are saying and have to rewind to see if I’m hearing correctly!  Sami’s line was priceless – but Victor is still champion of the zingers!  I look forward to all of them.

The dialog sounds so much more real these days…one of the Salem Place people on the posts noted that all the actors in the golden oldie days used to parrot what the other actor had said before them – i.e., Bob said to Sally, "Nancy killed Bill in order to remove suspision on Henry", And Sally would say "You are saying Bob, that Nancy was involved in the murder of Bill so Henry wouldn’t go to prison?"  And Bob would repeat…"Yes, Nancy…."  Cue organ music…DaDAdaDAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa….

Today, it drives me insane when the characters repeat the entire name of a well known cast member – "Phillip Kiriakis – Victor Kiriakis’s son…."  We know who Phillip and Victor are – we know they are Kiriakis – stop doing that!  It’s distracting from the story line and people really do not speak that way.  If there are new viewers the writers are trying to explain the relationship to, the new folks are just going to have to learn who the characters are just like the rest of us did.

toooooooooooo!  If they (the writer’s) can redeem him in the story line.  Like I’ve said a zillion times – those two have sparks!

but that means stress for all of us next year again too…hope the show does well in the next year in the ratings without going crazy with a kidnapping, slasher, or possession!

"Mother of the Year Award", I’ve seen snakes who have better mothering instincts than Samantha Jean.  I’d rather have Hope or Lexi or a substitute mom like Maggie for Salem’s "mother" figure.  Nicole will be the baddy for a long time coming in getting her revenge on everyone and Vivy is still in the running in that category right behind her.  Mia is a snotty, pouty, conniving litte girl.  Stephanie is just peevish and petulant.

while God answer our prayers, sometimes He does it through science (after all He is the original "Mother Nature") and every day they are making new strides and progress:  (see news article below):

The Bible tells us of the man who had been at the Pool of Bethesda for thirty-eight years. All those

years he was unable to get anyone to help him into the pool so that he could be healed. But when

Jesus came on the scene – things changed. Jesus asked him, "Do you want to get well?" He then told

him to "take up his bed and walk." The Master Carpenter continues to ask, "Do you want to be well?"

This day, answer YES, pour out your heart to Him and see Him do a repair work on your situation. It

does not matter how long the situation has been that way, He is ABLE to turn any situation around.

Remember that "what is impossible with man is possible with God."

My prayer for you Nora is:

Lord, thank you for your loving kindness and tender mercies towards your children. Thank

you for being a God who wants His people to be whole. Lord, I ask that you intervene and help Nora with the cancer that invades her body. I am confident that you will deliver Nora because you not only hear but

answer prayers. Thank you for the answer in Jesus Precious Name.  Amen.

deal with her blouse being open a few buttons only in the middle?  From the bow tie down some of the buttons were closed and then the two or three opened to reveal her black bra and the rest of the shirt was buttoned.  I even notice Vivy looked down at her – and she’s not getting any points from me on the dead fur animal (faux or not!) draped around her neck either.
