even more glad than you that JER doesn’t write for our show anymore…I detested the SL’s he wrote also – what I meant to say (badly) was that I’m not really liking the writing that they are doing for the show in most of the story lines now are not much better than JER’s stuff (other than they don’t have the weirdness his did). The SL’s are repetative with the same theme over and over and over – "Triangles".
To expand a bit: It seems as if the current writer’s only know how to write about triangles (sans kidnapping story) of couples or else making our tried and true blue charater’s turn out to be louses.
We don’t have the great stay together through-heck-and-high-water couples that we had with the John and Marlena’s, Micky and Maggie’s, Tom and Alice’s, not even Bo and Hope’s anymore (and yes, they too all had their trials and tribulations as couples).
However, most of the character’s in a main story line are now either thinking of someone else, being with someone else, wishing to be with someone else, or getting fooled into being in a relationship with someone else. Not even Arianna and Brady are safe. I think there’s something in the water in Salem.
Let me clarify – I was being facetious folks
…no matter how bad the writing is now is what I was commenting on…it could be worse if JER was still writing for the show and besides – he can never-ever-never write for Days again…together – I’ve been saying that since, well forever…and once again, I’ll say this about EJ and Sami – watching those two – they have sparks and chemistry. I enjoy watching them when they are fighting, arguing, or saying sweet and nice things to each other. Sami knows how to push EJ’s buttons and vise versa with EJ.
They have both been bad in their history, but also good – I think these two make great scenes and t.v. watching – I’d love for them to get back together as a couple – but I’d like it not to be overnight or immediately – I’d like to see EJ pay for his "sins" in the kiddnapping. If Sami can forgive him for all of it (including past history), then I think they could work.
Rafe is a very nice guy but he’s not in Sami’s league – he’s always going to end up having to forgive her for something that she’s done or going to do. EJ understands Sami.
up before they’ve even had a chance to live together (supposedly at Maggies), they were breaking up before they got married because of Nathan and Steph. I’d like to see more of Mel and Phil, but it’s not gonna happen I’ll bet.

might long for the DAYS of JER…and his story lines (gulp and yuck)…but can we bring JER back from the dead? I’m sorry…I just had to say that…after all he did it a lot!
all I can see is Bonnie because I’m one of those folks you mentioned – but given time on Day’s I’ll get use to anything, and will be accepting of Judi as Adreinne – I think that Justin and her as a couple could have a good story if the writer’s don’t just put them as "furniture" around Bo and Hope. That’s the way I saw them writing for Patch and K when they returned to the show – gave them a good strong story and then they became just on the preripherals of Bo and Hope’s SL.
chopped meat? He got cheated on big time by Chole too! I agree – quit making her a cheater…it’s like the writer’s can’t see her doing anything else. Keep her with Daniel.
at all – I detested her when she was on with Mia and the crowd, and now we’re going to have see this "character"

Oh well, the FF button still works.about Sami – I love Alison. She is a great actress and can really carry off the range of emotions that the show has put her through the last 15 years or so. Sami though, drives me up the wall at times and I wish after 15 something years that the writers would truly let her grow up.
She saw John and Marlena on the conf. room table when she was 15/16 and obsessed about that for years and years. And say that she had Will when she was 18 years old, then Sami should be about 36 years old. She has four children, it’s time to let her grow up already, either that or she can’t mature because she has some mental abonormality/anomoly in her makeup that Marlena never diagnosed in her own child.
I thought they have enough nurses running around in the background – does this mean one of our favorites (or several) are going to end up in the hospital again? Why couldn’t they just give Nurse Maxine a bigger role?
Yepper yep…if there’s a teen story on Day’s – it must be summer time. I thought Mia had enough on her plate juggling Chad and Will? Besides – Mia is such a drag…why in spite of her blond hair, (and etc), why would she be a magnet to another guy? I think Gabby could use a beau or two – she is at least a pleasant character and has personality instead of Mia’s "Oh poor woe-is me" all the time.
I so agree with all of you that Carly does not belong with Bo, (Hope does). Once the "real" Bo comes back, he and Hope will be together again! I feel it! So Justin and Adrienne will start their lives together again. And all will be well with at least two of our Salem couples.
Now, something I’ve been thinking about for a few days now regarding Carly. Wouldn’t it be a hoot to watch Carly get some how together again (but not really) with Victor and watch Vivy just dissolve into a puddly mess. Those two women could go at each other and they’d also keep Victor spouting his great lines forever being between them. I haven’t figured out the details on how Victor would ever accept Carly as his "paramour" – perhaps he tries to keep Mel safe from Viv and this way would also insure that Phillip would get close to him again? And while Vivy and Carly are busy duking it out – Victor actually gets back together with Caroline for real! This way we get Caroline back into our story lines (she’s been stuck in the kitchen and upstairs at the pub far toooooooo long). And she’s about due for a romance, and who better than her old flame Victor?
This could also make an interesting SL for Bo’s acceptance of his mother and real father. It would tie in several characters in a SL. Like I said…just thinking.
doesn’t mean we’re all hippies and got a laid back attitude (LOL) – most of our police commissioner’s out here wear a uniform or suit and tie, and none with an earing unless they are in San Francisico or Bezerkly. Bo’s hair looks good, but the earing at his age is definatly a middle age crisis. He needs a total make over – Bo’s always been a rebel, but Bo – you are in your 50’s now dude – grow up! Change your wardrobe, your attitude and your lady! You are still eye candy with or without jeans but grow up! You are a grandfather now – get some dignity!
like one of those South American dictators in his white shirt. I know they are having a really low-key wedding but what’s wrong with putting on something nice on the beach – I would hope that they would at least have a tourist snap a Poleroid (sp) for their wedding picture.
