Participantthe patients, so much. I’ve been reading about HIPPA* (and my physician told me also), that all patient records are going to go electronic under the guise that if you need to go to emergency room, they automatically can access your private records. NOT really something I want out in space to be able to be hacked into – no matter how secure they say it is – remember the Pentagon, banks, the military Commander-in-Chiefs all and more have been hacked.
That being said, the student nurse, at St. Mary’s or what-ever the hospital was called, AND Mel (who is still a student nurse last I heard), should both have to give up their careers for giving out that kind of info.
A few months ago, I recommened a friend to my family doctor, she made an appointment and went the same week to see my doctor. I had an appointment with my physician the same week, I mentioned to my doctor that my friend was coming into see her that week, and my doctor said she couldn’t acknowledge even that she had an appointment with my friend.
*The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996 (P.L.104-191) [HIPAA] was enacted by the U.S. Congress in 1996. It was originally sponsored by Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) and Sen. Nancy Kassebaum (R-Kan.). According to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) website, Title I of HIPAA protects health insurance coverage for workers and their families when they change or lose their jobs. Title II of HIPAA, known as the Administrative Simplification (AS) provisions, requires the establishment of national standards for electronic health care transactions and national identifiers for providers, health insurance plans, and employers.
The Administration Simplification provisions also address the security and privacy of health data. The standards are meant to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the nation’s health care system by encouraging the widespread use of electronic data interchange in the U.S. health care system. Yada-yada-yada – etc., etc. Scary.

Participantmy "Days" time. When did he leave and this Roman take over? I’ve heard everyone speak of Chris and maybe it’s just my memory.

ParticipantBetty is a hoot! She was funny back 50’s/60’s (when you couldn’t say some of the things that they say today) in the days of Password with her husband Alan Ludden.

Participantget drug counseling and other long term family counseling at the very least. But with that new jail warden…not so sure she won’t get at least a spin through the revolving doors at the Salem prison.

ParticipantHe told Nicole exactly what’s what…I love it. And what he said was "right on the money"!

Participantbut they put all kinds of people in jail for things, I think she should go to an out patient clinic for mental issues. Dr. Baker will hang out to dry though for accessory to attempted murder, he doesn’t have a sleeping pill defense.

Participantso true! And she couldn’t be "set for life" at a million? She’s another woman who in her entire life has "lived" off men – Nicole is a preying mantis. Granted her younger years were not a walk in the park, but then there are a lot of women in the world who have over come adversity and become strong and independent…Nicole would not know how to live other than a life of crime, graft, blackmail or living on her back. That’s why I admire Fay (Nicky’s Mom) so much more, she is to be admired, school of hard knocks but taking the high road every time. Nicole always takes the low road and I hope it really bites her in the keister this time.

Participantplease so we can all refer back to it…I gotta feeling that some day in the very distant future Shawn and Belle’s kid Claire will be sailing the Fancy Face back into Salem harbor by herself, have a college and medical degree, the latest super duper wardrobe by living on a boat sailing around the world and reek havoc on Salem – no spoiler here just my take of the future possibilities in Salem.

Participantthe money to the IRS before putting it in to the account, (there’s a congressman in real life now having the same difficulties with the ethics committee) –
Maybe the don’t have an IRS office in town. Brady took her to SPD, so they would report the information to the IRS. Since the money was gained by blackmail (which the blackmail part will probably come out soon) – all they need is EJ showing up at the jail (now that would be funny). They are going to need a bigger set.
Perhaps, Brady took her, (knowing how Nicole is) to the cop shop, he knew she could be a flight risk.

ParticipantI was positively giddy and clapping my hands jumping up and down "Oh boy-oh-boy OH BOY!"
For entire time that I have been watching Days (a very long time), the last scenes in yesterdays show – were awesome! They never – ever – never bring it (SL) to a conclusion like that (well, almost conclusion, Nicole will squirm her way out again).

Participantyour last line of your post SW. So true! That’s why if they can’t pair up Rafe with Sami (and I don’t want poor, nice, sweet, kind, Rafe with Sami – she’ll cast him aside in a few months – that has always been her MO) then let Rafe be a single for a while (don’t hide him – keep him in a story line), then some day have some nice lady ( and I am meaning lady not a -itch on wheels) come into the story line and treat him good. Rafe deserves that after what he has had to put up with the past 18 months.
