Your post says it all!  At the very least the writers could do would be to keep the old scripts on a computer to cross reference – so they could see that they’ve done that line or that story line before.  

It’d be one thing if they were going to rehash a SL from say 15 years ago, no, wait, let’s make it longer than that. We don’t want any repeat possession SL! Too soon for that little gem if they did it 20 years from now.  

If they run out of things to write, let’s go way back for repeats before we have another "who’s the daddy" or "someone got shot" or "someone loves someone who has the hot’s for someone but that someone is in love with the first someone", SL again.

I’ve only watched Day’s, so I never saw her in another role.  I would love to see her in a drama or other show just to see a "different" Vivian.

aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!  (Withering in pain at the thought of another repeat story).   The twist I would like with this one is that Maggie doesn’t end up in the box but that Vivian does!  And no one is looking for her and she learns her lesson!!!

Will.  Just a possiblity. He could have listened to what Caroline had told him in the pub and taken it to heart.  Grandpa Roman could have a few weapons stashed that Will could have gotten.  

Steph and Kate were in the pub, so Kate is in the clear.  Kate would have been one of my choices without the obvious pub stay.

As you said Nicole had an alibi, or she would have been my very first choice.  In fact, I would have preferred Nicole, instead of her falling apart at the seams – not the tough Nicky we all know and "love".

Victor perhaps?  He confronted Stephano on the pier and said something to the affect "I’ve taken care of the problem" referring to his shipment being delayed on the docks by the DeMerias.  Given Salem’s time warps, he may have not been talking to Maggie in his living room at the time EJ was shot.  Also, since they had never set up the story other than the confrontation between Vic and Stephano at the pier, we never heard about anything prior to this…right out of the blue.

If it’s not Sami, (the bright side of her shooting EJ is she’s going to not be able to get any more annullments in the future with the church with an attempted murder conviction on her)  – they showed her shooting the gun but I would hope that (as someone else has hinted at) that possibly there was another shooter that Sami didn’t see and her bullet hit the pillow and the hidden shooter’s bullet took out EJ – although the trajectory of the bullet would be weird – (even Sami’s angle was strange) considering hit back of the neck near the ear?  Little hard to swallow that one.   

Mmmmmmmmmm, could be Rafe, since he did that thing with Nicole, he may not be the good guy that we all thought he was (which is tooooooooo bad in my opinion as Salem needed a straight shooter good guy).

Who knows?  Maybe Marlena snuck into Salem to stop Sami marrying EJ and when she saw what he was doing…(heh, it’s fun to dream)…

It now becomes a who-done-it, which could take us well into the sweeps in Novemer.  I like it!
