I know there have been serious budget cuts forcing Days to limit the number of sets but the whole mansion thing is funny.  The other day Stefano was referring to 30 or so bedroooms in the mansion that Sami could use.  The swimming pool!  All that room and they all congregate in that tiny little parlor with Stefano’s spooky picture or in the front foyer!  It just cracks me up.  Same with Victor’s mansion.  Just the one room with the ugly couch and the foyer and also the roof/garden/swimming area.  Maggie only has a kitchen, Bo only has a living room, I can’t even think of anyone else in town who even has a home.   Wait Daniel has Sami’s old apartment.  Caroline is always at the pub, Roman is at the cop shop, all the kids are at Java and everyone else is either on the pier or the Cheatin Heart.

I count us lucky to have the few rooms that our soap people have in this economy!  Wait another five years – we’ll be looking at screen prints of rooms with the actors standing in front of them.  Unless they become computer generated homes – after all they can do entire planets now with computers…heck, we may even have computer generated actors!

and Hope’s bedroom.  I think we’ve seen some place that Dr. Dick hangs out at too.

and let’s not forget the park and it’s one bench.  I swear, some days I feel like I’m still watching Ryan’s Hope.

I know there are less than they used to have but let’s try to list them all.  You may be surprised.

Victor’s outside entryway, living room, his foyer, Hope’s bedroom, his patio area, his swimming pool,

Stephano’s foyer, "all purpose room," his entrance,  (BTW, did you ever notice that the pillows that match Victor’s couch are on Stephano’s couch?)

The Brady Pub, Arianna’s room, the outside of the Pub,

Java Cafe and outside entrance, two different dock sets (one with stairs, one without), park, cemetery,

Sami’s place (which may now be gone), the outside hallway,

Chloe and Dan’s apartment and outside hallway,

Cop Shop, Bo’s office, the main room, the interagation room, jail cell (and the cell Shane and Rafe are in looks like a different one to me),

Dr. Baker’s room and the poker room,

Bo and Hope’s living room (they have shown the kitchen but maybe that’s gone), and their outside entrance,

Maggie’s outside entrance, kitchen, and we saw her living room during Mickey’s funeral which may now also be gone,

Is the Horton cabin still around?

Two University Hospital nurses station and two different patient rooms,

We’ve seen the church and hospital chapel on occasion.

Have I forgotten anything?  Anyone who has ever visited the Days set will attest to the fact that it’s quite large. In spite of the individual sets being much smaller than they appear, put together, it takes up quite a bit of room.

If they want to economize (and I’ve mentioned this before), they should cut down on all the flowers they have.  Everybody, plus the hospital, always have fresh flowers on the set.  Even if they are artificial, they’re still expensive.  And did you see how many were at the wedding?  I know it’s a small thing, but…

Bo and Hope’s bedroom, but might be gone now, we did see it often when they were together, but who knows now

They use Chez Rouge on occassion for the dress up dinners.

The jail cell,  interrogation room or wherever it is that visitors and prisoners meet, the jail that Rafe and Shane are it (it may be the Salem jail cell)

The room where Baker plays poker

Wherever it is that Stefanie and Nathan go for a little roll in the hay

They must have gotten rid of Abe & Lexie’s living room since we haven’t seen that for a while.  If the Horton Cabin’s still there I’m sure they kept the outdoor shower also.  Once in a while there’s the room at the Green Mountain Lodge or wherever it is that people go to get away.

I’m sure some of the sets are reused as different locations with a quick change of a photograph, furniture or camera angle.

In reply to the original comment, I thought about that when I read on Prevuze one day about Kate giving Sami grief about all the kids’ stuff laying around and I think I remember her supposedly saying Sydney woke her up early.  If the place is so huge, why would you have your room close to Sydney’s?  Pick another room.  And don’t they have servants to clean up after everyone?

Let’s play…Set’s I remember… (and my memory is really baddddddd – so it may just be a description).

    The Penthouse Grill

The "blues" club – (bar and dance club) but it wasn’t the one with Chelsa and Nick – it was the one where Lucas was sometimes.

The club that Lucas ran for about three episodes as a new job (was that for EJ?)

Alice’s living room – hope we see that this month

    Titan Publishing offices and boardroom

The laboratory (lab) where Sami switched lab results (two or three times?)

The cavern/cave where Lexi was held

    Abe and Lexie’s house

Alices Bar (wasn’t that what the country and western bar was called?)

The "FancyFace" – well, that’s still sailing around the world…so it doesn’t count…

Alice’s kitchen.  I remember he making her donuts and having people sit around the table and have coffee or tea

    Doug’s place

When the show first aired there was the Horton front porch where Marie and others would go outside

    Bo & Hope’s backyard

The dinky beach where Belle and Shawn ran into Marlena & John getting frisky

Again when the show was young I remember a park with a swing that Susan was sitting on talking or thinking about Scotty and Julie

    The Chandler mansion

Wings, the place where Gloria Loring sang, Basic Black, Doc’s office, the old Brady house across from Alice and Tom’s house, Marlena and John’s penthouse, the apartment that Bo and Hope lived in then others moved in eg, Jennifer, Kayla, Brady. Ah the good ole days!

I remember a lot of "outdoor" scenes…not a lot of those anymore.

The park…where Bo first kissed Hope.

The cemetary…where characters visit and are buried alive

The hot springs…where John/Marlena and others would get frisky..but not at the same time of course!

The ice skating lake….where Hope skated

The snowy place where Shawn and Belle made their snowman–and declard their love for one another.

a few that had slipped my feeble memory…

    Horton cabin…

    Mythic corp…

    courthouse…

the beach front where – (see I told you I had memory problems) the girl was killed (I think Nick was involved)…

    Salem Inn….

    the Spectator (newspaper)…

Harth and Home (Kates) – although, we don’t see it, supposedly Lucas is involved in it in China…

is Salem Place (mall) where Java is (?) – we used to see lot’s of shots of it…

    Salem U…

the Catholic church – St. Lukes (and there was a St. Michaels too at one time….

John Black’s loft – the one Belle lived in…

if any of you have mentioned these and I’m repeating sorry – I can only see  one post at a time.
