Those scenes with Ciara and Chase were PAINFUL to watch. Sometimes DOOL hits it out of the park and sometimes…….. not. They got it right with Theo and Joey but Chase & Ciara. YIKES! No disrespect to the actors but wow are they awful.
And Lani – wow. When she told JJ "giving him a big dose of pain isn’t gonna help" I nearly died. She’s right there with Ciara. SMH…. I dunno if I’m giong to be in the minority here but yikes.
Chad to Abby "I’ll always find you!!!" I melted.
What a listless exchange between C and C today. As I mentioned before, I expected Ciara to be full of animation, just as she did as a child, but I feel this actress comes up short. And Chase isn’t any better. Although the dialog wasn’t much to work with. Really like Theo though.
I thought the killer story line would never be over. I was about to jump through my tv if the wicked, creep, insane would not quit.
And now here’s Hope going off the deep end. She is so caught up with revenge and I can’t tolerate the way she is acting. Even Ciara tried to get Hope to move on and let Go be gone. She is obsessed with anger and she should have never started this mess. I have no sympathy for her.
These actors are young and I know they are trying their best. I support them and they were not that awful. What a shame to be critical!
I cannot even begin to imagine the horror of being ambushed and nearly strangled to death by my husband on my wedding night, then having the love of my life return from the dead only to die the next day. As Hope said this was how she was dealing with an extraordinary situation. Vigilante justice is never a good idea and I do not condone it, but in this case, I do sympathize. As a soap the hyperbole is expected.
Ciara’s acting from day one. I agree about Theo too, he’s pulling this off very well as is Claire the little bit I saw her. Lani seemed to go backwards yesterday.
Chase is a nut-case like his dad – taunting Theo is horrible! Theo is so hitting the mark as a challenged pre-adult! Love him. No opinion on Claire yet – Joey’s a cutie – pretty good actor. Now Hope! If Bo would just quit popping up and egging her on – the town needs an exorcism! Chad is melting my heart – I just hope he can avoid the DiMera mantle of creepiness. Can’t wait for him to find out that/if the baby is his. I hope Abby picks William as a middle name. Surely the cleaning people will find the baby @ the motel, no? Sorry this is rambling…trying to type at work and cover all the issues LOL.
Roman should have put her on a forced leave of absence immediately, not only as her superior but as her BIL. I don’t care how mentally stable one is, what she went through is above and beyond what anyone could reasonably tolerate and certainly not a cop with a vendetta. She should have also been required to receive counseling. In fact, I think that is mandatory when a cop shoots (or kills, not sure which) someone. That’s just downright dangerous to let her continue working.
Some new actors seem to "hit the grown running" and are perfect on screen. Others definitley need time to become comfortable in the role. Also, I am not sure how much background history is provided to the actors.
Finally, there have been many instances where people have torn down new actors in the beginning only to grow to love them later on. The one that stands out in my mind is Chandler. When he frst appeared as WIll, there were many posters who complained about his "grins and face smirks". However, as he became accustom to the role, her grew into it and became a fan favorite. There are others including Gabby, Paige, JJ, Ben, Chad and Abigail (who has really got it together lately).
I really think we should just watch and give them a chance. On a side note, Theo is acting very much the part.
and neither is Chase, although I do think he’s better than Vivian Jovanni (Ciara). The new young actors portraying Theo, Joey and Claire and fine, though, especially Kyler Pettis (Theo) who is a real doll and very believable as a teen with autism. I think Jonathan McClendon (Chase) is only recurring and will be leaving at some point. I do think he is the one who is going to bully Theo, and it’s pretty obvious that he’s the one who sent that text to Theo. He’s going to be very jealous of Ciara’s relationship with Theo.
and right after that was when Theo got the "Freak" text! Chase is going to be extremely jealous of Ciara’s relationship with Theo. They both have a crush on her. Hope better wake up and pay some attention to her daughter’s needs before something happens that will put Ciara in some kind of danger zone that Hope won’t even see coming because she’s riding the crazy train right now.
Wasn’t there a story line where Ciara was kidnapped and Hope blamed Bo for it happening? I thought she even told him she couldn’t trust him because he had put Ciara in danger. Of course, she also blamed Bo for Ciara acting out while he was gone in the last few years.
How ironic that the very thing that she hated so much, allowing work to put her family in danger, is exactly what she is doing as she "avenges" Bo’s death. He did die of a brain tumor, which might have nothing to do with hie being held in captivity.
