Is what it says on the cover of SOD. What are the chances he was raped in prison and that’s why he hates the gays? Didn’t GH do that storyline where someones 18 year old son was raped in prison? I vaguely remember it – and i remember it not being well received. I’m not entirely sure anyone (myself included) would be interested in seeing that story materialize. I’d prefer to just leave him be homophobic LOL…
Does anyone think that was it? That the dude who gets out March 15th (that stabbed him) is the one who did it? Thoughts?!?
he only stabbed him. I’m not sure Days would go that far. Although they’ve done female rape several times. Sami, alone, has been raped twice. The guy accused him of being a snitch so he may have stabbed him becauce of someone else being raped that Nick ratted on but I don’t think Nick was. Although that would certainly justify his dark personality since he got out.
he’s so homophobic now and why he hates Will being gay, and what do you wanna’ bet this is the prisoner who will be getting out of jail soon to be working in Father Eric’s prison program. I see a whole new can of worms opening up for Nick if this is the prisoner who comes to Salem (and you almost know it will be).
I kind of figured that was going to happen when they first showed a flashback scene. Really dumb thinking though as the other prisoner was probably not gay.
Nick is just a very disturbing character all around. I’m ready to see some Dimera payback!
but it was handled pretty well. Those things do happen in prison, and i really liked the way it was handled. They didn’t just sweep it under the rug when Michael got out of jail. He hid it a first, but eventually told what happened and got help. He had suport for his family and friends.
I really don’t like Nick!!! Him being raped in prison would explain a lot with him. It seems he has disliked Will from the time he found out he was gay. If they do the story right it could be good, but I think he will end up getting killed instead of getting help.
as a reason for removing Will’s child from him. Besides, I would imagine that guys who do rape other guys in prison are straight, not gay, but that’s JMO. Nick is clearly homophobic and all of his pre-planned schemes to remove Will from his child’s life have been simply because Will is gay. Now, maybe Will will finally wake up and see that. Better late than never!
before he went to prison, in fact, he was a pretty likable character, so, something obviously turned him around because he is REALLY homophobic.
I can see him being mentally obsessed with anything to do with a gay relationship involving two males. It’s totally abhorent to him. He can’t see it as a loving partnership; therefore, does not want Gabi’s daughter to be touched in any way by Sonny and Will.
I didn’t mind Nick so much his first go round in Salem… I’m thinking this dude, the guy who gets out March 15th lol, has some tie to Nick and it’s gay related. There’s more here. I just want Nick to go away and take Gabi wit him!!!
If you remember though the Nick who came to Salem as a likeable person was not the same Nick who went to prison. That Nick was controlling, obsessive and dangerous.
I honestly think that was not the pills he was on but the beginnings of mental illness. He’s the same way now, only 10 times worse and able to hide it from some. I think he’s following in his mother’s footsteps and needs help.
His homophobia is probably related to an event in prison but I’m thinking he’s gay and embarrassed so that’s why he’s got a problem with Will and Sony. He might not have been raped but might have been the rapist. Of course these are just my thoughts coming out.

how do we know he wasn’t raped as well? Thinking back to today’s show, a flashback showed Vargas sitting down on the bed next to Nick. He then said something like: "don’t worry Nickey, I’ll protect you…." That’s usually an indication, at least in any prison movies I’ve ever seen, that the person doing the protecting is claiming the one he’s protecting, or, as they like to say in prison movies, claiming him for his "*itch" to use as he sees fit for his own self. At least that’s what I took from it. Now, maybe Nick got fed up with it and refused Vargas’ advances, and that’s when Nick was badly beaten (which I remember Julie and Hope saying he was beaten). If Nick turned Vargas in for beating him, Vargas would consider Nick a "snitch" and that’s why he stabbed him. I remember Vargas saying in another flashback, "this is what happens to snitches’." Vargas told Eric today that he got 7 years, but that he had been in prison for 10. That indicates to me that Vargas got time added on to his original sentence for beating and eventually stabbing to Nick.
"you two need something to love …. GET A DOG" …. I wanted him dead myself. I hope Vargas gives him what he deserves.
That’s what I was thinking… It all lines up quiet perfectly and, if done correctly, could be a good storyline!!!
