I just read that Nick Fallon’s mother will be coming to town also and it is going to be the original Jessica Fallon played by Jean Bruce Scott!! She was one of my favorite characters when she was on the show. She did an multiple personality syndrome storyline. If you are a long time watcher you will remember her being Alex Marshall and Marie Horton’s daughter. Also her meeting Jake Kosnitchek, who if I’m not mistaken turned out to be the Salem strangler or slasher. Great storylines back then!! Here is the link to the article. Can’t wait to see her again.
and especially love that they got the original actress to return. Guess Ken Corday meant what he said when he promoted the return of core family characters to the show. Greg Vaughn returning as Eric Brady is very exciting for me, as well. I’ll take these returns over brand new characters any day. It certainly does remind me of Days of old, and I will love it if that’s the direction the show is taking.

the “you can’t go home again” syndrome we’ve seen time and again on Days, where we get excited about returning characters and they bomb due to misguided SLs.
Plus the fact that how many people are even going to care about Jessica/Nick? I was watching at that time and totally forgot about them. It seems a bit odd that Days would choose to bring back players from so long ago that most viewers don’t know.I didn’t care that much about Nick when he came back last time and I don’t care about Jessica now. I barely remember her and what connection can they now have with current characters? There are not that many still around and they don’t even know most of them. They have brought so many back that have been absolute "bombs" that I’m really not expecting much in their case…remember Jeremy and Stephanie, Kim and Caliope?
