I loved that Melanie was pretty much honest with Philip. I think that showed a lot of maturity on her part. A lot more than most characters on the show! But if they have her cheat on Philip with Nathan, I think I’m going to scream. I don’t know why the only way someone can deal with unresolved feelings is by jumping in the sack with them. It would be nice to see someone actually work through it and be true to their marriage vows for once. I know that’s not typical soap writing, but I’m sure they could come up with some other drama for them to deal with. I really like Mel/Philip together. I think they are very sweet. I also like that Stephanie is so insecure and envious of Melanie. I wouldn’t want her to be right about Melanie. I want to see her (Stef) get put in her place for being such a witch. She’s just mad because Melanie is holding all the cards right now and a year or so ago it was her that couldn’t make up her mind. Remember when Nathan interrupted his date with Melanie to basically ask Stephanie out?
it’s obvious what these writers are doing….again and again. They have already declared that a lot of couples are going to be "switched" around. I have a feeling with Vivian putting all these thoughts into Chloe’s head about Carly trying to break up her and Daniel, and Phillip overhearing Stephanie and Melanie discuss the stupid letter and what the contents meant to Melanie as far as Nathan was concerned, it won’t be too long before we see Chloe and Phillip relying on each other. At least that’s what I believe will happen. Soon the cheaters won’t be Melanie or Daniel, but instead I fear the writers are going to throw Phillip and Chloe back together. I know a lot of people want that, but I like Chloe with Daniel and hope they can get past all of this. And, speaking of Vivian, please give Louise Sorrel something better to do than run around town trying to find people to destroy Carly. It’s getting old, it’s no longer funny, and there are much better avenues that could open for the character of Vivian that the one-trick pony they have her riding day after day after day.
but I don’t think they’ll throw Chloe back with Philip. Why? Because at their last get-together, there really wasn’t any love involved, it was only companion sex (bucking fuddies?) so, unless they think Chloe needs some morale boosting and decide to have Philip be the one to provide it, I don’t think that’ll happen. And I’m with you, I really want to see Chloe and Daniel have some happiness. Geeze, at least give SOMEONE a little joy on this show.
I love Phillip but I hate how they are having him do those creepy
possessive stares he give to Melanie, they creep me out! I think he should get a hair cut like Dan. I think it would look better on him than his long hair. Not that Phillip could look ugly!
Phillip has always been possessive. Look how he was with Chloe when they were dating in high school and after. He was very possessive and jealous, downright scary at times.
But I have to admit they have been growing on me as a couple and I want to see them stay together. I seriously doubt this will happen. The writers are putting her with Phillip.
I can’t understand why the writters paired up "bad girl" Melanie with Phillip…It’s such the wrong message! And IMO there is no chemistry!! If you look back at scenes with Stephanie & Phillip they sizzle….and they are or were going out as a couple in real life. Soooo, I think the writters did this just to have them break up over nathan…..Cause, before this SL Nathan wasn’t THAT into Melanie as she was with him. This was a rebound wedding in haste….and don’t see a lasting outcome.
Which means selflessness. Phil has to be the conqueror/winner and beware of anyone who gets in his way. I don’t think he so much loves Mel as possesses her. And I look for him to be very cruel as this possible triangle develops.
I really like Philip and Melanie together. I wish the writers would at least give them a chance to have a successful marriage. Philip was so loving and caring with Melanie, a better man; then he overheard Stephanie talking about the letter. I hope their relationship will be strong enough to survive, but it is doubtful.

is the stranger here. Even when he was with Stephanie, he was more himself. Why does anyone think she was always trying to change him. He and Melanie will never last, but I don’t know if he will be willing to just give her up to Nathan if that’s where the writers are going. I think Phillip is very, very possessive….very much like E.J…..and I don’t see him giving up on anything he truly wants, and right now that’s Melanie. Anyway, the Phillip we are seeing now is the one I am having difficulty recognizing.
That makes sense, but I hope they don’t have Chloe cheating again! I don’t see a lot of chemistry between Philip & Chloe anyway.
I totally agree about Vivian, though. Please give her a different story line! More interaction with Kate, a Kiriakis/Dimera feud, anything!
