The cover of SOD says Maggie and Victor are splitting up. I just LOVE those two together and it frosts me that TPTB are doing this. Granted, I didn’t read the article, but just the thought of it….. grrrrrr! I know every couple will have their problems, but these writers can’t let ANYONE be happy.
Haven’t read the article but maybe they will split up and then get back together later? They have been hinting that Victor knows more about the whole Daniel egg situation than he’s letting on. I hope Maggie eventually forgives him for whatever he’s done.
what the cover says is not what’s meant and the inside explains things further. It could be that Victor has to go away or is held hostage or Maggie is. If these writers did break them up, then they deserve to be fired!
This has been one of the best pairings on the show and it makes me sick that the writers are causing problems for them. I am hoping when the material from the new writers starts to air, they will be back together. The current writers only seem to know how to break all of the couples up and they obviously think that’s what we want to see.
for not being truthful to her when he knows darn well that he was the one who stole her eggs and gave them to Daniel’s thought-to-be parents. Of course, soap writers can’t leave well enough alone for too long; how boring would that be if everyone was happy all the time and sickening sweet to one another. This is probably going to be short-lived. Maggie and Victor are extremely popular with the fans, and I think they will have them reunited at some point. At least she would have a good reason to leave him, if only temporarily. How do you forgive a man for stealing your eggs and giving them to another, and then find out he knew they were yours, married you, and covered it up, not by lying about it, but simply not offering the truth. I kind of like the idea that Maggie finds out the truth. If the new writers were smart, they will tweak this story in a way that after she has time to digest the whole scenario, she will realize how much they truly love one another, and then Maggie will forgive Victor, admitting if only to herself that he did not even know her way back when. Perhaps in the meantime, Victor will be so crushed that it will give him the chance to regain control of his chutzpah’ and have him return to a true Kiriakis, but, instead, with Maggie as his weakness to always think of the cost of his actions before he takes them. Sort of like a "Beauty and the Beast" s/l — because it’s obvious this show needs a turn-around, and maybe it’s time to pass (or return) the black hat to another, especially when Stefano has turned into a boring cartoon character, with nothing but wash, rinse and repeat stories.
didn’t give Victor any credit for coming forth with the truth to her. How often does THAT happen on this show? Never! Yes, she had every right to be mad but she shouldn’t have walked out on him like that. She should have at least told him she appreciated his honesty, even as late as it was.
And she knew what Victor was when she married him. This should not surprise her. In fact, he even admitted at the time he didn’t care if they were stealing eggs and he didn’t even know Maggie. I can’t imagine any reason for telling her anything once he DID meet her. "Oh, yes, you’re the Maggie that my friend and I stole your eggs from at the fertility clinic I owned." I’m sure!
So , maggie is willing to throw away her happiness for something that happened over 30 years ago!! She never even knew the eggs were missing, so if it weren’t for Victor, she wouldn’t have Daniel!!! I just don’t get the outrage that Maggie is showing. As you said, Vitor didn’t even know maggie. I don’t see how he would even know who the eggs belonged to anyway.
Maggie knew that Victor was shady and accepted that his past was not perfect. i think she needs to GET over it.
