Where is the evidence to show Aiden was playing Hope? Is this new sudden SL totally driven by the actor’s upcoming departure/Bo arrival or is he truly not the good guy we all thought? Or might it have to do with Aiden trying to bring down Clyde? It would be hard to make me believe Aiden was not serious about Hope.
In my opinion, I think that Aiden was originally brought in to be Hope’s happily everafter. HOwever, since Peter has decided to " grace us with his presence", they had to throw away Aiden. The writers also had to present Bo in a light that would make the viewers forgive him for abandoning his family. The only way that could happen would be to make Aiden a creep and they are quickly doing that.
That being said, I cannot believe that he has been playing her from the beginning. I believe his intentions and truly feel that this NEW ending to Aiden and Hope was a rewrite when TPTB decided to embrace Peter and let him come back to Days.
Personally, I don’t feel that I will ever accept Bo or care for him, mainly because I feel that Peter was at fault. He played his cards (demanding his salary) and when he didn’t get it, he took his ball and went home. Fine, but then don’t egg on his fans to plead his case with TPTB. Don’t tweet and urge fans to demand his return. He has ruined Bo for me and I can never accept him with Hope again. I really don’t care what the story is- he was held captive, he was undercover, he was in prison doesn’t matter. I am done with Bo. I also feel that they are doing a real diservice to Aiden by turning him into a bad guy.
Sory for the rant but I just don’t buy it.
has been thrown under the bus for Peter Reckell, and personally I think it’s a damn shame. I don’t believe PR has even signed on long-term. Even Jason Cook, who will be returning as Shawn Douglas Brady, only signed on for three months. If that’s the case, then they can stick Bo where the sun don’t shine.
for the Aiden turn to the dark side is that Doug did not approve of him in the beginning. And then there was the ridiculous bust of a SL with Aiden’s wife. Maybe they could now twist it again to have Aiden be the murderer afterall.
This is reaching but I suppose Days could do some revising to make a claim for Aiden’s subterfuge. Except the romantic scenes between him and Hope never seemed fake to me. And I don’t think the joke has been on the viewer.As Mr. Wonderful would say, he is dead to me. Leave him gone, don’t mention him again, forget he ever existed. Oh, and keep Aiden…forever!
I have, and will always love Bo, but this is being handled very poorly. No need to turn Aiden evil…Clyde could easily just kill him. I guess the writers want us to hate Aiden and also create a situation where Bo saves his Fancy Face…
Aiden bores me to tears. I can’t wait to have Bo back and if he doesn’t stay I would rather see Hope with Rafe. I am most excited for the reuniting of my all time favorite couple Steve and Kayla.
I personally don’t care for Kayla and Steve. I know many pwople are excited about their pairing, I just never got invested in them as a couple. I also have no love for Bo.
I enjoyed seeing Hope move on and find a new love with Aiden. I don’t think it was right to suddenly change Aiden’s whole personality and sence of morals ecause Peter Reckell has decided to return to the soap.
I think they should have let Aiden stay in Salem, or something could happen that required him to leave, but not as a villain!
I also don’t like seeing Rafe with Hope. IO like Rafe but don’t think he works with Hope.
in the early years but always have to wonder how relationships will work the second and now third time around. Will Steve still be effective as Patch the charismatic rebel now he’s what – pushing 60? What effect will teen Joey have on their dynamic? Can this pair recapture the magic?
I too do not appreciate that Days (if this is so) is shoving Aiden under the bus. You are right, they don’t need to turn him bad just because Bo is returning. The idea of Rafe and Hope does not thrill me, but I have an open mind to see how it goes if indeed this will be the direction. So far have been enjoying the TomSell Days.I agree that the way they are sending Aiden out is not really making a lot of sense for me but I want Bo and Hope so I guess we will wait and see.
that Hope would have to spend time grieving whereas if she finds out he has been rotten to the core, the romance would end immediately, leaving her open for going back to Bo.
My problem with Bo is that he is always portrayed as the "hero". I cannot stand the idea the Hope as an intelligent woman needs a hero to save her!! I know that they are "changing" history so we feel sorry for him and accept him back, but I just don’t like the "poor helpless female" that has to be rescued!!
I also feel that this is similar to when Jack came back from his "walkabout" that turned out that he was held prisoner. Again, wanting us to accept him back.
I wish that Aiden has to leave with Chase for some other reason than he is really bad There is no need to destroy Aiden. With some imagination, the writers could have had a better exit story. Chase is ill and needs a specialist (other than Dr. Dan). Aiden has to finalize the beach house and his late wife"s estate. Aiden is injured and needs specailized treatmen. I am not a professional writer but there are many scenerios that could explain his absence.
After finding out about Bo and his misadventures, Hope could simply decide on her own that she needs to give him a chance for their history together and for Ciara.
