Loved, loved, loved the show today.  Since I have been a fan of John’s sl, I must say I was glad to see the end of his father, and yes I do believe we have seen an end to his search for his true parentage (at least I hope so).  Tobin Bell was not only a great cast as John’s father, but the entire rescue today by Steve and Rafe and Marlena was terrific.  Maybe Rafe should think about joining Black Patch, because I love how the three of them, John, Steve and Rafe, work together.  Now, hopefully, Paul will completely recover as well.  I lmao at Marlena today when Steve said "please don’t shoot me," and Marlena replied: "please don’t tempt me."  Great show today, IMO.

was exciting…It brought me back to the days of the old Edge of Night – full of intrigue, comic book bad characters, gutsy blondes, etc.  Rafe, John, Steve and Ed would make a great crimefighting group!  Haven’t heard/read anything on Ed’s tenure with the show…hope he sticks around a while!

I agree the show was fun today.  I love when multiple characters interact in these larger spaces.  I loved when Marlena helped Steve by knocking that guy out and then he looks at her completely shocked and she just shrugs.  I could have done without another brainwashing story but hopefully that will be short lived.

I found it a curious ending to the search for JB’s dad. The whole Alliance thing with Yo’s ‘out there’ philosophy came on rather abruptly. Will Alliance now replace the DiMera era as the bad guys?
I did like Marlena as crimestopping girl power and it was nice to see so many characters united. This is what I always liked about Days of old – bringing in so much of the cast into a bigtime SL.

The two interactions between Steve and Marlena were welcome chuckles.

Paul was subjected to that mess for how long, an hour or two maybe?  I would imagine only an extremely weak person could be influenced in that short period of time.  For some reason the movie "Telefon" came to mind and I wondered if something will happen and trigger him to perform some mission.

was not really dead and would come back to life when everybody left. Now THAT would have made a great continuation of this evil network since the Dimeras are gone. And it doesn’t cease to amaze me how much alike John and Yo Ling were. Their looks, voices, even actions were so similar. I am sad he is leaving so soon. I would have liked seeing him get some of John’s blood and have it rejuvenate him into a powerful adversary leaving John torn between the evil and him being his father and wanting to love him.

I thought Marlena was hysterical. She was trying so hard to look like a “tough guy” and be one of the group. And I don’t mean intentional funny, I mean pathetic funny. The two-hand gun grip, the checking ahead and behind her, just like in the movies. Too funny!
