and I just referenced the same thing above. I know there will be some controversy on this one, but I have to say, Will and Gabi never did to appear to be "in love" but they were dating exclusively, and this is bound to affect her.
I don’t like this at all. It seems the writers are doing everying thing possible to try and alienate us viewers/fans. Well, they’re doing a good job of it.
As I mentioned before, I wouldn’t care if they brought in a new character that was gay but to all of a sudden turn one around, outrageous. Like Patti said, I could accept if he was bi but not this.
They changed the actor playing Will several months ago and said it had to do with a change in the character. I believe the writers have known for a long long time that this character would be Will. It was rumored several years ago, too. What I would love more than anything, would be to bring back Marlena, and have Will confide in her. I think she would be the most logical level-headed character in helping Will come out to his family. If done well, this could be a powerful storyline. @Patti, I agree, I never saw any chemistry with Will and Gabi. I guess, this could be a way to get her character off the show too if that’s what TPTB want to do. I don’t see her matched up with anyone. Nothing personal against the actress, I just don’t see what her storyline would become except to create another "love triangle" with Abby and Chad. JMHO.
This choice does not surprise me. What I wonder is will he have a partner and will that be someone on the show as well? Perhaps Chad? I lose track of family tree sometimes. Chad and Will are not related biologically are they?
And Bonbon, I don’t necessarily see a late teen/early 20ish coming to terms with his sexuality as being "turned around." Hopefully the story will be designed that he has been questioning his choices for some time and has finally come to grips with it.
How about "pairing" him with Dario?? Seriously, I really don’t like this idea at all. I am not against gays, but just don’t see the need to do this SL, especaillly with Will. After all, Days doesn’t do big storylines well—-like autism that SL has faded into the background. For example, Theo telling his parents he loves them -that doesn’t happen out of the blue with an autistic child. The PP storyline with Chloe was doen half heartedly.
Making Will gay will forever brand him. It’s not like they can change him back in a couple months when the SL ends!!!! Since they are bringin Jack Jr back, he would be a better candidate IMO.
That would be great Mommytutu, I would love to see Marlena come back to help him, I’d also be interested to see how Lucas would react to this news. I dont mind this SL but I think I would rather see it if it were Chad instead of Will.
Does anyone know WHEN it will start…the storyline, I mean. I want to get as much Bo and Hope as I can, as I will never watch this show again!
I was talking about turning around a character we’ve know since his birth and now all of a sudden he’s gay? GMAB! If they wanted him gay, we should have been shown some kind of signs in the past..his struggling with it or, at the least, questioning his sexuality to himself. But, no, they just decide one day, hey, let’s make Will gay. As I said before, BAH!
If they do it right and make it a gradual realization on his part. Let us see his confusion and struggle as well as those who care for him trying to come to terms with it then it might be a good story. I just hope they don’t suddenly have him wake up realizing he’s gay with no repercussions or have his struggle and conversations with those around him happen off camera. Then that would be a disservice to the viewers. And please don’t suddenly have his whole personality change and end up dressing like, walking like and talking like Chris or Richard Simmons.
named "Ryan". Some super-star, gorgeous athlete who is "new" in town. At least that’s how they wrote him in "comings and goings". I don’t know when he’s starting, but I do know that the original story line is supposed to be a member of the cast that we all know (Will, obviously) and someone "new." So, my thought is it will be this new kid, Ryan, who is supposed to be around 17-19 years old.
how Will has never given any signs of struggling with his sexuality. So he picked out fabulous earrings and now he’s magically gay? I think to just snap some fingers and make a character gay is doing a disservice to the character and to the fans. You can’t undo this. Well anyway they better bring back Lucas for this storyline. To have this go on without him would just be beyond ridiculous.
face transplant, baby switches, etc., – they could and they would or if it p.o.’s enough of the fans – they will eventually write Will as going to live with Lucas – that would be my favorite senerio if they insist on this crappiola.
