Another great show last night. However, I do not understand why Candace was voted in over Charlie. She definitely made strides and perhaps she has a loyal following from her tv days but she has made many errors during her dances and last night’s waltz was not good. I cannot believe she was safe while Meryl was in jeopardy. M&M are clearly the best couple and Meryl dances like a pro. She can also handle Maks which is saying something!
I was really disappointed to see Charlie leave. I would have loved to see his freestyle and have it come down to between him and Meryl for the finals. He is just so joyful and fun to watch.
it should have been Candace. She may be getting somewhat better, but she made mistakes through and through this competition, and is still not in the league with any of those who represented the three in jeopardy last night. Just glad Maks and Meryl were safe, and their performance last night was superb.
Amy is wonderful and deserves praise, but I wonder how much of her popularity is due at least as much for Derek as it is for Amy. Not that she isn’t terrific, because she is. I just think those “blade” prostheses give her an unfair advantage sometimes.
I really also like Peta. She’s a marvelous choreographer and her partner is fabulous. I think there was a rumor they are more than teacher and student. They sure do look hot together and obviously enjoy being together.

Peta is a fantastic dancer! She is so crisp and quick, can keep up with any guy. It seems more than a rumor about her and James’ relationship – even she alluded to keeping it business during the show. Last night I saw some real talent in James. That MJ routine was a blast to watch.
Derek is one heck of a choreographer. That number w/Amy on the table was so clever, but didn’t see a whole lot of dancing. Same w/ Candace’s ala Bob Fosse one. Entertaining but more “vogue-like” posturing than movement.
Meryle deserves the title but not so sure she’ll take it.I believe it was her fan base that saved Candace. But not from her TV days, I think it was her strong Christian beliefs she has been so open about. I think there are probably more people who voted for because they aligned with that than her dancing. But I think she should have gone before Charlie also.
It’s to the point now that I would not be surprised to see James, Amy, or Meryl win and deservedly so. I’m also to the point of wanting Maks to win because he never has; Peta, just because I like her so much; or Derek because he is so talented.
And there is no doubt in my mind that Peta and James are doing more than dancing. I mean, they dated before the show, how could they possibly not be now? There is so much kissing and body contact on this show that any little spark between these couples just HAS to catch fire. All you have to do is look at Peta’s face when she looks at him to see the adoration there.
This is one season I really hate to see end.
I couldn’t stand all those touchy/feely gestures from Maks. He’s always clutching and kissing Meryl and while some of that is fine, I personally would go nuts.
As for Candace’s beliefs, I applaud her outspokeness of faith. But I found it a bit misaligned with her always bringing up her hesitation about skimpy costumes and suggestive dance moves. She well knew what this show was going in so don’t complain. Besides, as it went on she seemed to be loosening up those attitudes, like wearing that bare legs outfit this week.
