Maybe I should try that on my Frostie.  She’s getting a little pudgy and I just can’t seem to get her slimmed down.  She always acts like she’s starving to death.  I kid you not, she eats her food in 20 seconds, and then tries to eat Pepper’s.

and I know you do…they send Email drawings that are absolutely hysterical six days a week.  Check out Tippy with her head in a bowl with that thing on:  http://sz0117.ev.mail.comcast.net/service/home/~/Vacuum%20eating.JPG?auth=co&loc=en_US&id=147629&part=2

Hope you can open – (this is the picture that I thought DtD would use).

you can get this bowl that has a middle "bump" in it and it slows down their eating speed a bit.  Tippy is a "wolfer" too but she couldn’t eat with the Elizabethan collar on so I gave her a smaller bowl to eat out of.

Tip knows not to go into Maggie’s dish.  Maggie is danity and takes 20 minutes to eat her kibble and likes to walk away and come back which drives Tipperdoggie mad.  I can see her look at me during the meal and say "but Mommmmmmmmm she doesn’t want it if she walks away from her bowl"…

The bowls are at any PetSmart or doggie store, I think you could find them at Wallyworld and TarGeeegh too.  Frostie isn’t on any meds?  Medication can make them feel like they are starving – Maggie is on Predisone – every other day 1/2 a tab – on the days that I give her the Predisone – she acts like she’s not been fed for three weeks!  And she is a bit porkypie doggie too but that is because of the Predisone – kinda turns them into a snausage…but she’s almost 13 (next June) and I try and keep them happy dogs because I know they won’t be with me forever.

I think she’s just a natural born pig.  I saw a bowl like that on TV called ‘Whoa Buddy’ but with the freebies and S&H, it was $20!!!  Nothing at WallyWorld but I’ll check Pet Smart.

Yeah, Frostie does the same thing while Pepper is eating.  She stands there patiently waiting for her but I think if Pepper walked away and I wasn’t standing there, she’d wolf her’s down too.

I try to give her extra exercise in the pool but she really hates it and I can’t walk her because of my bad back so short of starving her to death, I don’t know what else to do to slim her down.  She weighs 20 lbs. and should be 15.  The vet says she’s okay but I think she looks like a sausage.

from their wolf days coming through…I got my bowl at a feed store, non-skid bottom, dishwasher safe, heavy duty, etc., but it was only about $13.95…I figured that was worth it to keep the "bloat" that some dogs can get when wolfing down their food and save me a trip to the vet.  But then I also invested in a king-size bed so I wouldn’t have to cling to the edge of the bed anymore while they stretch with the cold nose and sharp toenails…I still end up clinging to the edge of the bed while they snore and do their little doggie dreams in comfort and warmth (they get the covers too)…I know – I know – I am Queen of my castle (but they rule).
